They should be able to teach all skills up to trans. It would save a ton of headache for those few who are not in a guild.
Have the Gods enlighten them or something.

What are you doing not being in a guild?

I thought they did teach non-guild skills up to trans? And the point of them not teaching guild skills it to encourage you to be in a guild. I can say this without bias because I've been cityless and guildless for RL months, and only recently even gotten them to teach me anything at all.

I am in a guild. But, I wish to leave soon. That wouldn't work well if I cannot learn or have to learn from those in the guild.
That probably is the point. It'd probably be better to just trans them before leaving. Ack, I'd hate to do that though...

Do it anyway. The guilt you may feel will not be near as bad as not having trans skills

If you're leaving your guild on good terms, just learn from other guildies after going rogue. They shouldn't mind.
If you left on bad terms/got kicked out, you should consider yourself lucky you're still in the city/commune.

Well... I mean, the city tutors can't be expert Aquamancers, Celestines, Paladins, and Cantors, for example, just knowledgeable only to an extent.
