Maelstrom would have killed you, its not cutting... by the way what is your resiliance and the stats on your plate?? Non trans resilience and crappy cutting plate may be a large factor, but I bet is is based some off of your total health....

According to an old forum post, it's the same damage formula as thunderclap. Very heavily based on max health, only going to instakill you if you have very low max health. I've never done 4k with fury. Nirrti took...I think 1.2k from mine. However, from the log shown, I'd say it's a bug. So...use your active character and bug away!

I guess the AB is wrong.

It's not the damage which it did. That's not the concern. What I'm confused by is the fact that it did the -exact- same damage with and without the field plate and helm on (we tested each state multiple times). No matter what, the damage was 3044. It's like the plate didn't even affect it.

As to resilience and plate - transcendent, 89/84.

They renamed thunder clap, nerfed it just a hair and called it fury

Only an idiot would keep surge up while fighting a guardian or wiccan. Without surge up, he has 4kish mana.
