Yesterday I tried to post this, and just before I finished the battery in my laptop died and I lost everything
So here are some of my ideas:
Pureblades:
Possible changes to collapsedlungs and puncturelungs...
1.If both lungs are punctured then after 1.5-2.5 second of one of them not being cured the person afflicted with two puncturedlungs will instantly collapselungs.
2. If both lungs are punctured when the afflicted sprint/walks/dashs/tumbles/crashes out of the room then he/she will be instantly struck with collapsedlungs with longer blackout time.
3. If both lungs are punctured then as long as both stay punctured any strikes to the chest will double the chances to collapse the lungs.
Remove Furrow, maybe replace it with a skill to maybe hinder for a short time without having to wound.
New heavy or critcal chestwound that cuts open the heart or arteries going to and from the heart and causes lots of bleeding and stops you from clotting (eating chervil will still work, kingdom will too
Also, I left some ideas for pureblade/axelord and athletics out and i'll post them later.

You can't have 2 punctured lungs, after that I stopped reading, not because it's bad, but because I wanted to post
Unknown2006-12-09 06:28:31
I could have sworn I given somebody two punctured lungs...
Must have cured it after the first strike and got them again right after the second strike.
I suppose changing it from puncturedlungs to puncturedlung then making the changes to collapsedlungs would be fine too.

Don't worry too much about this, as there are PB/AL changes from the warrior report that haven't been implemented quite yet
Ildaudid2006-12-09 18:26:45
Ya wait til they implement the skills RACE STRIKE
Power cost 10
Damage 25% heat 25% electricity 25% cutting 25% unblockable
When wielding your sword, you too can spank the crap out of 9/18 races by summoning insane damage from the souls of the dead roaming the basin, Your sword will also (if you touch it to a shrine) will summon the power of that god and add random additional elemental damage.
/joke
Yes there are some more things coming out, I don't remember what though. But not that

Oh, I've a suggestion for the Warriors too - the TRUEBLOW ability:
Power Cost: 10
By tapping into the latent pool of uber powers that warriors have, you can instantly cure all wounds, all afflictions and go back to full health! It also doubles your attack rate for the next hit and can be used off balance/equilibrium!

Lets just pray that PB/AL's get an ability to stop people from just walking away.
It's so easy to get away from a Pureblade it's almost sad...

PB has the same ability to stop people from just walking away that a BladeMaster has... severtendon at heavy, or amputate at critical.
BM has pin at heavy, tendon at critical-- but either way, people aren't just "walking away" from those (especially now that amputate was upgraded).
Knights in general can't really hold someone in a room. That's part of our downside, in exchange for better mobility / less setup.

I've fought a few spars where the target just left the room and healed up before I was able to get severtendon. Main problem with severtendon is that it takes strikes and not swings so you'll have to stop trying to stick severtendon when you want to go for amputate.

Right. You only aim for severtendon when they're heavy-- once you get them a ways into to critical, you can aim for an amputate. Don't try to amputate until you're relatively sure you can land it.
Also, use assault to aim for severtendon (if you don't already). It increases wounding considerably.

Knights are pretty nifty for holding people in the room, just knights require long term hitting to do anything nasty unlike other classes. Engage can be used off balance and there are always a few nice leg wounds to prevent some running. To be fair though its easy to get away from any class just most classes either have a lot of burst afflictions/damage so it dosn't matter about running away because you can kill pretty fast anyway, knights seem to be the only ones with out the burst kills but then knights arn't bad for holding people in place.

BM, AL, BC, and PB all exist. They don't all have the same ability to hold people down.
I know as a tae'dae that was my biggest setback. If a warrior was able to hold people down with afflicitions as quickly as others can do various webbings, they would be considered overpowerd though.
How long is the balance on web enchantments anways?
Unknown2006-12-10 16:44:16
A faeling can writhe out of web faster then another faeling can web them...
Engage is useless, and even if it was changed for the better everyone has access to the common skill of disengage.
From my experience it takes a very very long time for a knight to kill someone with decent curing. When you finally get the edge and are starting to take them down they have just have to make legs the number one priority and web, heal legs, web heal legs, ect until they can walk away.

Engage actually is not COMPLETELY useless. There is a % chance that they'll fail to leave the room if you're engaged, (like carcer). It's not a very high chance, but it's better than nothing.

They basically called that Trueheal Tzekelkan. Thank god they nerfed that

Also it can be used while off balance and even if they do run off I think you get to hit them as well.

When I last sparred Ixion, the damage and leave prevention from Engage is what killed me.

Yes, Ildy, I'm aware. 'twas but a joke, making a reference to it.
