With BC coming up this January, I'm tempted to go back. Will it be worth it, grinding up those extra 10 levels? Will it be worth it, getting all new leet epix? Will raiding Lakeshire still be fun? Will arguing with redneck guild leaders you despise over vent still be amusing? Will it be challenging?
Discuss, my fellow Warcraft grinders.

Raiding towns is much more fun. No DKs. Treeform made me respec and start playing my druid again. BC is going to be fun.

I'm looking forward to BC, if only that I'm hoping it may kick the fun into the game again. Was a pretty hardcore raider for a long long time, till my second community fell apart and I decided it just wasn't worth it anymore. Got my hopes up for the pvp changes (even though my server is heavily imbalanced and got the pve ruleset) as well as more options for "casual" players. I'm happy they got rid of the DK system, town raids is what got me hooked on pvp after all. I'm sure it will get boring again, but blizzard always did quite a decent job with regular patches to keep me hooked.

Nothing will save this game, if you've let it go, wait for Warhammer Online or Conan.

Save it? It's still a best-seller. O.o

I just started playing this week.

I've had fun with WoW since day one, and now (3 mains and nobody-knows-how-many alts later) I still have fun. The 2.0.1 changes made PvP much more fun, I already have 2 pieces of the blue PvP set and I started to get honor points 2 weeks ago. No grinding, I stop when I feel tired.
And BC promises a whole buncha'o new stuff. Most of it looking so cool that I can't sleep at night just thinking about it. Okay, that part was exagerrated.
So, if you liked WoW but got bored of it, buy BC and get back. If you didn't like WoW from the start, you'll probably still dislike it. But I personally find it hard to believe how someone can't find WoW fun - it's like Lusternia, if you get bored it means you weren't looking for fun hard enough.
Don't mind me though, I've been a Blizzard fanboy since I've read about Warcraft (ONE) in a game magazine, back in '95.

Yeh i quite like the pvp changes too. So far in under 2 weeks of pvping i've picked up a R14 dagger and the ab shoulders. Goes quite nicely with my t1/t2 mix, up to 960 unbuffed ap and about 28% crit on my rogue, think i will roll shammie in tbc though. It's a hell of a lot of fun, and there is nothing more satifying than downing a new boss

WoW bored me by level 32, the game consists of grinding..more grinding and linear quests. Maybe the end raids are fun but the rest of the game is lacking. The instances were never difficult enough(Like I said, end game ones are different) and the PvP is either own, or get owned.I found there is no real inbetween and from watching duels of epiced 60s it showed I was right. The new talents and abilities are insane and any half decent hunter should never die unless to a stunlock rogue. I started a tauren shammy, maybe he will be more interesting then a rogue but I play maybe an hour a week.

You started a clone of me?

I am going to love the BC. I have even started on Jubei'thos so when it comes around I can make a Draenai mage - its like a normal mage, but with a 2sec renew that heals pretty much all your health and power word shield. Fun times!
Edit: this is because I moved from Murph's server - he is a boring bastard who is hardly ever on when I am and doesn't have any newb alts when ya want to grind with someone ya know.

hey im rolling draeni shaman when the expansion comes out!!
And i find that beating someone more geared than you is really rewarding, also ignore all the 60 duels. Duelling is absolutley NO representation of skill at all. BG pvp is where it's at, nothing more fun than to go with another rogue ninjaing nodes and holding them in arathi basin. It's good fun if you have a decent team, wow is all about grp pvp and the classes are balance don group pvp rather than 1v1

I'm pretty new to WoW so I doubt I'll be getting TBC just yet, but tbh if you don't fancy the grind find a friend and roll a Draenai or a Blood Elf... recently I got bored of my mage and so started a couple of taurens with a friend. The levelling is faster, finding groups is much faster and it's generally a lot more fun.
Iridiel2006-12-27 14:51:32
I'll be getting the expansion as soon as it's out. After six months break and taking it much easier (not heavy 4 days a week raiding, not being leader and tech support of a raiding community again, adding idiots to ignore much faster...) I think the game has a lot of potential.
And the new winged dungeons for 25 people look very cool. Will reduce the bother to finally manage a group. The new PvP system looks cool as well, at least I don't need to farm honour senseless to keep a rank. And then there's jewelcrafting, and the blood elves wich have so many racials for mage life that might make me reroll my human mage.
Europe servers, Argent Dawn. If anybody shows up there send me a PM so I can say hello

You better!
I can't decide what class I want to go to be honest. I find the thought of the Draenai mage or Shaman interesting, but I <3 being a Hunter and when I'm not playing one I miss my pet something fierce.
