The feather used to enter the Black Nest (where the Crow aspects are) is located in the trees above the Ethereal Ravenwood, and thus guarded by both the Ravenwood's totem and any guards that happen to be stuck in the trees above there. Thus, getting into the Black Nest to raid is FAR more dangerous than getting into the Hallow of the Last Standing Stone (where the Hart aspects are), and likewise far more dangerous than getting into where the Rock Lords or Tidal Lords are.
Thus, I feel quite strongly that the Feather should at LEAST be moved one room south. I would Envoy this, but as the Admins told us when we tried to make Demigod no longer the most severe disadvantage attainable, the Envoy system is only for skills, not other imbalances.
This, of course, doesn't address the fact that dreamweaving into the Black Nest is orders of magnitude harder than dreamweaving into the Hallow, but meh.

While I don't see any problem moving the feather south of its current location, there are a few points I'd like to raise:
+ The Hart Aspects are vastly nastier than the Crow Aspects, Tide Lords, or Earth Lords. I think it is because a couple of their attacks are "psychic" based.
+ There rift that leads from the outer area of Celestia (several rooms away from the Pool) to the entrance to the grotto of the Tide Lords.
+ There is a rift that leads from the outer area of Nil to the entrance of the caves of the Earth Lords

I was under the impression they were made less nasty at some point. If that's true though, their damage types should be made more in line with the others Sadly, the admins consider all damage types to be equal from what I have been told.

Are those the permanent rifts? I haven't really be on the cosmic/elemental planes since they were formed.

Why does everything always have to be the same?
Why don't we just have a grey world. Everyone can be human, and we can all be in a guild called 'Generic'. No guild masters, no cities and no communes. Oh, and we don't get names, just numbers.

Can my cudgel do unblockable damage then? That's not the same as the others There's a difference between identical and balanced. There is also a difference between different and unbalanced.

You're going from one extreme to another, like if there was nothing inbetween.
There can, and should be, differences between each faction. But when a difference offers a severe advantage without similiar advantages for other organisations, the game's balance (YES, it's a game, in case someone forgot!) is skewed and the difference should be changed in order to make gameplay more enjoyable.

Correct. They are permanent rifts.

I almost solo killed one of the Hart aspects and he wasn't all that bad. Shivering, knocking prone and damage was all he did. A warrior could have tanked it all.
Xenthos2006-12-24 17:30:22
"Almost"? Have you tried any of the others solo, yet? I'd think that you should be able to rather handily defeat them ranked at 51 with a Druid cudgel.

I haven't tried any of the others. Someday!
Even ranked 51 with cudgel I'm still made of paper

I take double the damage from mobs of what I used to as a Mage. Though...the killing aspects thing does sound interesting...*Chin*

Someone mind explaining to me why becoming a Demigod is such a disadvantage?

Demigods have essence instead of XP, but get it in the same way - that is, lots and lots of bashing (don't know about quests). Each time they die, they lose a lot of essence. If they can't afford it, they lose Demigod AND Titan status.
So basically it means they have to "repent" every death of theirs by grinding for some hours on Astral. Which is boring.

Not really...the Tide Lords were pretty tough for a level 80+ Moondancer. (The rocklords would have been tough if nymph wasn't still good at the time I last beat them up.)
Gwylifar2006-12-25 04:44:38
In addition to what Cuber said, they lose that essence on any death. In effect, they lose vitae, conglutination, transmigration, resurgem, resurrect, and all other death-avoiding and death-limiting skills in a single blow, because Phoenix kicks in before any of them. So that risk of running out of essence and losing an entire level (all the way down to 99 (0%)) is very real.
