Hi I'm just wondering what race would be best for mostly bashing as a Nihilist? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Aslaran I hear is good pk/bashing, could be mistaken though.

Aslaran with tarot works well. Mugwump if you want to have fun with hexes. Human for a balanced path, Viscanti for nifty bonusses and fun RP.

He said for bashing though - I say mugwump or human for high levels. For lower levels, I think I'd maybe pick Lucidian.

Aslaran is the best race generally. It works well with tarot, necromancy, and nihilism due to eq and bal bonuses. If you take hexes dont plan to fight seriously.. our skills dont allow for that (quiet yet) but you can be mugwump. Human is yes a balanced choice without any bonuses beyond evolving and experience gain.

Mugwump is a better basher at -most- levels, in my experience. You really can't make up for that speed with anything else.

Also, they can be good tarot-users, with the right strategies.

Aslaran for balance on tarot.. if you dont use heavy tarot then mugwump is still fine. I know we OFTEN have to use aeon and hangedman and such in groups and raids and such so I am fine with it. FOr most purposes Mugwump will work so long as you dont deal with balance based skills much.

Then yes for only bashing mugwump. SPeed on hits and if you need to buy time the mugwump eq bonus will let you shield or puella faster. Low health compensated for by pure speed of curing and stalling.

Other then Aslaran, can Loboshigaru be a good Nihilists choice? Im going for more of a combat approach but im not sure with Nihilists defences it will cover the level 2 magic weakness.

I think Nihilist Loboshigaru is more of a bashing type than a combat type.

Why would you say that? Im a human now and the only disadvantage I see compared to a Human is the Magic weakness which Im not sure If a Nihilists defences reduce that, and the low int (with a knowledge blessing I can fix that).

I was a loboshigaru for a long long time, and I found them to be incredibly incredibly tanky. Versus physical. Nihilist's defenses somewhat over that, as do Robes.
For bashing, it's mugwump for speed (Requires skill), human for balance, lobo/tanky race for uhhh..tanky.
And the reason I say mugwump requires skill, is because you can bash grubs at level 5.
