I'm currently wearing greatrobes I bought from a shop, proofed against cold and magic. Bought them back when I was still totally clueless and now I'm looking to replace that cold proofing with an electricity proofing. I'm wondering though if I'm going to need to get a new set of robes for this, or if the proofing can be replaced.

You will need a new set of robes, or just buy a cloak if you just want to add one more proofing.

The most inexpensive thing to do would be to get a proofed cloak -and- proofed coat. You can wear both along with the greatrobes.

Can cloaks and coats be proofed against electricity then? My coat has a cold proofing, would be indeed a lot less expensive to replace that.

I'm pretty sure it's just the greatrobes that can have electric proofing, unfortunately.

It was only greatrobes that could be magic or electricproofed. Cloaks and coats can be proofed with those now too.

if coats and cloaks can be magicproofed now then why not get everything magic proofed?? wouldn't that basically help from every element attack? But then again I don't know how the proofings stack or even if they stack. Does anyone know if they do add more effect for having multiple proofings?

Afaik, proofings don't stack

pfff how would you know? I was more expecting Shorlen to see this and say something! He does all that stuff
Jillian2007-01-05 21:28:55
I know because Shorlen knows, was too lazy to link it but here you go --> http://forums.lusternia.com/index.php?showtopic=10523

besides tailors can have all four proofings on their splendor robes and then still get a coat and cloak, so they must be able to all have effects

ohh thanks I was using a fire proof cloak and coat but one i lost and I was mad but now i'll just get a new one with cold proofing and be even tankier!

You can't stack proofings in that having fireproofing on a cloak and greatrobes or cloak and coat won't give greater protection against fire. However, you can wear a cloak and coat at the same time with a proofing each.

... which looks like was already pretty much stated. Nevermind! smile.gif
