Currently, the plots board requires you have to have at least 300 hours of time spent and be level 50.
Can we lower the level requirements please? I can probably get to level 40 over a weekend but I don't wanna have to bash all the way to level 50 just to post some ideas on the plots board.

Yeah, the level requirement, which was probably put in to make sure only "serious" players posted on the board, is rather redundant when you add in the time requirement. If I've played the game for 300 hours and spent the entire time doing non-experience gaining things (everything except bashing and influencing), I should be able to post my ideas.

Fair point.
Daganev2007-01-10 00:32:24
have your friend post it then

Ask Shorlen IC for help bashing Anyone can help him at the moment, because salt is awesome. To keep it IC, just say that you want to explore the aetherbubbles, and ask if he'll be kind enough to take you to some. You should level to 50 in no time where he hunts.

I knew I needed an aethership...
And the plots board is a news board which you can post to, but can't read from. You won't see it if you have it hidden, which is one of the config options (CONFIG NEWSIGNORE, IIRC)

What if I spent 300 hours AFK?

Then I sincerely doubt you will care about the Plots Board anyways.

Someone would notice, you'd get bored, and if you ideas are outlandishly stupid, daganev can tell you not to post them.
Daganev2007-01-11 17:00:13
I can so see guido or jack making an alt letting it idle for 300 hours just so he can write some post on the plots board.
Noola2007-01-11 17:05:11
Well... sitting idle/being AFK is against the rules. And while folks generally look the other way if you gotta go for like ten or so minutes cause your mom needs help bringing in the groceries or you have to go to the bathroom or answer the phone or let your dog out or whatever... I think the Admin types would notice someone sitting idle for 300 hours.

I don't.

300 hours is a long time, but I know tons of people who idle through novicehood or longer without any notice. I think the admin would have a hard time paying attention to those things, unless they have some kind of report which lists connection times so they know who to watch, and even then they usually have better things to do.
Noola2007-01-11 17:45:18
Yeah... but... 300 > 24. By a lot. I just think that someone would notice. Could be wrong, but I seriously can't imagine anyone doing it and getting away with it.

I did it to get mentor status in Imperian.

Did you really? You didn't talk or anything? You just logged the character in and then left it where it was for 300 hours?
