Your best RP experience

Well, I'm a trivia hoarder, so I wanna hear everyone's best RP experience with other players, Talkative Denizens don't count, sorry biggrin.gif

My best one was back when I was just a wee Trill, leaving Serenwilde for Celest. I was going on the road, and by some miracle, Mederrach got ahold of me with a summon into Bondero Bay. We spent a good 15 minutes of him trying to convince me, and me slowly agreeing with his philosophy, before I came to my senses, used a telekinetic fling, and then got killed, that was so fun.

Talking to Merkada about being my son or not. first it was zomg, why do you think your our son, and by the end it was like "give your dad a hug!" Also talking to Tzek is always fun. End of story.

The time I spent with Fain when I was a Nihilist and for the short period I was in His Order as a Moondancer. For a long time after I left His Order, He used to haunt me as well - very creepy. wub.gif

Way back when I decided to finally leave Celest I decided I for sure wanted to play a foresty role. I had taken it for granted that I'd join Serenwilde since for the bulk of my time playing, there had been no Glomdoring commune. When I quit Celest though, the Glom commune had been around for a little while so I thought about joining them.

Not being able to make up my mind I decided to ask questions of their leaders and whichever side gave me the best answers would be the side I'd join. I checked Help Serenwilde and Help Glomdoring and found Gwynevere for Glomdoring and Ibaesha for Serenwilde (I might also have talked to Jasper but I can't for the life of me remember for sure if that's true). I asked a couple of questions about what their forests were like, what ideals they held, etc. Gwynevere's answers were short, sometimes non-sequitor, and poorly worded. Ibaesha was quite coherent and well-spoken. The thing that sold me for sure however, was the answer to the last question I asked. The question was, "Is your commune hostile towards the other one and why?" Gwynevere had a one-line response that said yes obviously we are hostile because they're so stupid.

Here is Ibaesha's answer, the reason I joined the Serenwilde:

Ibaesha tells you, "Early on in the Modern Age, a few Serens had a dream to
restore the Gloriana to its original state of beauty, untainted."

Ibaesha tells you, "These Serens formed a group called the Summer Court. They
kept to themselves and explored the Glomdoring, learning all they could to
hopefully someday find a way to restore the Gloriana."

Ibaesha tells you, "For years and years they struggled, but could not find much
to go on. Then Lady Viravain found Her way from the Void."

Ibaesha tells you, "As she was the Lady of Summer Song, they felt they'd found
a glimmer of hope in their quest. Lady Lisaera even told them that perhaps Lady
Viravain might be of some help to their cause."

Ibaesha tells you, "The Summer Court went to Lady Viravain and asked for Her
help. At first, She said that there was no way, that it would take the entire
7th Circle of Gods to be able to recreate the Gloriana. They didn't give up
thought, they kept talking to Her. Soon She joined their group."

Ibaesha tells you, "Then, She learned a way to restore one location at a time.
There were prophecies that the Summer Court heard and attempted to pay heed to.
Of course, this was a dangerous path."

Ibaesha tells you, "Despite the warnings, they continued on, supporting Lady
Viravain, many falling in love with Her."

Ibaesha tells you, "After She broke the Seal of Nature and was possessed by
Kethuru.."

At this point I ask her why Viravain was fiddling with the Seal in the first place.

Ibaesha tells you, "Ahh you see. Lord Raezon tricked her into believing she
could restore the Gloriana more swiftly with the use of the Seal of Nature."

Ibaesha tells you, "When She did so, all of her work to restore the few
locations She had was undone, tainted once more."

Ibaesha tells you, "And the Seal of Nature broke and She was possessed by
Kethuru."

Ibaesha tells you, "Horrible things happened after that. Kethuru, of course,
tried to destroy the Basin. Mortals came together to fight the threat."

Ibaesha tells you, "Without going into too much about that, eventually the
mortals managed to get all the shards of the seal and return them to Avechna.
Great Divine battles ensued. Eventually, the Seal was restored and Kethuru
banished once more."

Ibaesha tells you, "Lady Viravain returned, but much changed."

Ibaesha tells you, "Before She broke the Seal, she was a lovely, happy, playful
Goddess. Very apt to go into fits of sadness over anything 'bad'"

Ibaesha tells you, "When She returned..."

Ibaesha tells you, "She called the Summer Court to her."

Ibaesha tells you, "At this time, I was part of the Summer Court. She was mad,
of course. She demanded that we stop following Moon and that we become part of
Her army."

Ibaesha tells you, "I told Her I would never follow Her among other things. She
threw me on top of a mountain for it."

Ibaesha tells you, "But many of the Wisdoms of the Moon still had hope. They
thought they could help Her see."

Ibaesha tells you, "There were many Wisdoms in the Summer Court."

Ibaesha tells you, "Alas, I had to put my foot down and tell them to make a
choice between Viravain. I knew her madness could not be cured."

Ibaesha tells you, "Each made their choices and as the choices were made, the
madness that had overcome the Goddess, overcame them. Gwynevere, Lyth,
Jasper.."

Ibaesha tells you, "And so it came to pass that half of the Wisdoms of the Moon
were lost to Her madness. This was a great strike against the Coven of the
Moon."

Ibaesha tells you, "So when you ask if we are hostile... I do not know what
answer to give, other than yes, we are, and we pity the loss of those who once
stood with us, illuminated by Mother Moon."
Noola2007-01-09 16:28:35
Actually the conversations that Noola's been having with Dvyrus have been fun! He's being nice and sneaky and weasling his way into her affections without being suspiciously pushy. She still doesn't trust him completely, and is slightly suspicious of his motives and certainly wouldn't dream of telling him anything she wouldn't want all of Magnagora to know, but she's beginning to consider him more like a friend and actually rather looks forward to their discussions.

Discussions with Merkada also rank among my favorite RP memories. Especially when he took Noola around Celestia when she was very young and showed her the best way to handle her meld cause she'd been going off a scroll and didn't have many skills yet was confused about a few things.

I need to log more often I think!

6. Being in the first Fain's order in general.

7. Being part of the plot to convert Glomdoring to Fain's puppet govermnet.

8. Rp with Shayl as Daganev's daughter (also the early plans of the treeripper clan which never became a reality)

9. Playing the "I don't see taint"/"All you need is love" game with the first Viravain.

10. Early Glomdoring clan political games, between the Disciples of Crow, the Summer Court, Chade's secret clan and a few others.

Suffice to say that I've had fun with several plots and conspiracies, coteries and cabals, and the like. Some more serious than others. All were excellent experiences.

Also, my arguments with Ashteru when he first moved back to Magnagora were amazing, even if they always ended in us fighting.

Orti's Knighthing in the Paladins and his inevitable turning into the Taint
Richter2007-01-10 05:02:09
In no particular order (except partially chronologically):

-Appointment to the first group of Serenguard secretaries by Auseklis.
-The blackout at the moonhart (and subsequent prophecy, it's in the early serenwilde news), the incident at the megalith, the changing of Richter, and the joining of the Disciples of Crow.
-The Black Market
-Discovery of Tetra under the moonhart
-The founding of Glomdoring
-Richter's possession and attempt to steal the seal of chaos (stopped by Shikari)
-The possession when Xavius tried to kill me in Deepnight (manse room exit aliases/triggers ftw!)
-The gradual tranformation to "archon" (amazing how many people call me that even when I had a different title biggrin.gif )
-Getting myself out of trouble every other week (it usually works, and I don't have to pay anyone, just use my charm!)
Aiakon2007-01-11 22:31:27
I've had many RP experiences in Lusty that I've loved... but one that comes to mind at the moment as a favourite was with Terentia.

I had been rude on the public boards about Terentia... repeatedly, I think... and she responded very much as Terentia should respond: furiously. In fact, she promised to give me one (RL) day disfavours every day until such a time as I repented. Now, her disfavours screwed Aiakon over rather badly. He couldn't conglutinate of course, but worse still for Aiakon, he couldn't use his staff. He had his staff, but he couldn't staffcast. At the time, I was looking for excuses to worsen his behaviour and give him an extra edge of insanity - I was also accutely aware that I needed to really slim down my Lusty playing so that I could give myself a chance of getting a good degree result. So, Aiakon lost his marbles and skipped off to the Dramube Triangle to have a lovely time in an aetherbubble in which both water and earth are represented in earthen terms - the seas are sandy, and the fish are rocky - it's a Geomancer's paradise. While I was there, Terentia appeared in front of me, demanding my apology. I gibbered at her about my metaphorical castration, and she played along.. and for ten or fifteen minutes or so, I had real fun. Unfortunately, I can't remember much more about it than that, and I didn't take a log.. but it was amusing. Naturally, I ended up sobbing at her feet pleading for the return of my geomantic manhood... and the disfavours ended.

I enjoyed one little RP encounter with Diselli when Veonira was telling her to leave her son, Telrath, alone. I'm sure anyone who knows Telrath knew about his fangirl following tongue.gif.

The coolest memory I've got is being fondled by Kethuru and turning undead at the end of the whole Serpent event.

Undead Bard = wub.gif , even if I had to hide it from Seren all the time.
Unknown2007-01-12 02:23:01
Shayle. That speaks for itself.

Also, every encounter with RPing Shadowbound. Rather interesting to talk to them about Mother Night's teachings, and asking them for their interpretations. Balances out the 'others' rather nicely.
Diamondais2007-01-12 02:29:04
Making a Shadowdance alt (I wanted to try it, I was really interested) and Shayle was teaching me and her Sprite started talking and acting. Held her breath until she collapsed. Was funny, and best RP experience I've had in the game so far.

But I think something up may trump that. wub.gif
Genevieve2007-01-12 02:49:50
I'd say that'd be during the serpent event when it seemed like I couldn't go anywhere without the denizens talking me up about the verses of Magnora. I was turning in some gorgogs when Marinus started talking to me and we found out that Gishgorolbom had a verse, and he didn't really want to turn it over willingly, so we had to beat him up. I went to the Aslaran encampment to turn in a stone sword I'd gotten, and Ciarrus started talking to me, and we found out about the one in the Shallamurine Cathedral. We couldn't seem to solve the puzzle, so I was out bashing again when Meleris started talking (rather sarcastically, it seemed to me) over the CT about how great I was and about how hard I was working for the city and that everyone should be praying to the Supernals for my safety. I couldn't get away from denizens RPing to me! I finally gave up and spent the remainder of the time before the giant serpent showed up looking around for the verses.

It was a pretty stark contrast to when I was in my first big event when Elostian was formed, and I couldn't seem to be of any help to the city and I felt a little left out no matter how hard I tried. This time, no matter how hard I tried, the denizens wouldn't let me ignore what was happening and just let me make up the exp I lost to the serpents (over and over). I always have a hard time immersing myself, but it felt an awful lot like they (the denizens) were recognizing me, like they'd seen me around enough to trust me to help solve what was affecting them just as much as we were being affected, and it felt nice. So props to the ephemerals, and also to whoever controlled Meleris for making me laugh even though it was damned insulting because I'd worked on that damn Shallamurine puzzle for hours and I was just trying to unwind!
Jasper2007-01-12 02:55:31
My best was during my first days when I became the Prince of Shadows. Lisaera began to do her magic to take control of my broom and torc, using them attack him. When Jasper finally tracked her down, she took him into this bubble of existence near the Ethereal Plane. It was there that Jasper and her had a little talk, and she thought to try to awaken Jasper's purpose, which she thought was to follow Moon. It got thrown in her face when Jasper started to say one of the Shadowdancer liturgies - awakening his purpose to follow Night. Lisaera got furious and threw Jasper into Ethereal Serenwilde, had the Ladies of the Silver Light tear him to pieces.
