Thinking about returning. Where is the good rp happening, nowadays?
By this I mean, a good population of reliable roleplayers... you get the drift.

same place its always been, glomdoring.
Narses2007-01-12 23:02:28
Daganev, Glomdoring has a -loud- RP, that doesn't mean it's rich or the best. I saw good Rp'ers and bad Rp'ers everywhere and I've been to all the cities/communes at some point.
Astraea2007-01-12 23:09:12
I invoke the Crow Aspect of False Memory and say that Glomdoring has nothing but Good RPers.
And it has been spaketh and so it is truth.

Glomdoring has both good and bad roleplayers. But I do indeed find a greater -concentration- of good roleplayers here.
There seems to have been a resurgence of roleplay in Serenwilde, actually.
Celest is suffering from minor TGP syndrome.
No real feel for Mag.

Here here. I love the RP I get in Glomdoring, and I love the amount of leeway I get for doing RP as a Glomdorian. Never a dull moment, no matter how ticked off I am right now that Krellan stopped me from influencing Fae (but I seem to suck at it anyway...my system wasn't making me sip bromides).

Sure, everywhere has good and bad.. however, the best is and always will be in Glomdoring
Why? Because we have nothing else to do!
Astraea2007-01-13 00:11:01
Joking aside, Daganev is right. Glom doesn't really have anything better to do than RP and bring in power. We rarely ever have villages, we're not exactly a big fighting community. We have more fighters than we did in the past, but the focal point couldn't be farther away.
Edit: Misunderstood a part of Lucan's post. There we go, all cleared.

I don't understand the need for debating systems. I just randomly change mindset and debate with whatever, and usually that works out for me. But then again, faelings with Night are pretty cush at influencing, what with penumbra. Then add dramatics and trans influence in. I'm not too shabby.
Wrong thread?

Dont think he was saying a debate system per say, more or less a healing one.

Yes, healing system screwed up. I didn't even know what Krellan was doing until I suddenly couldn't influence anymore. I thought he was performing some weird ritualistic death maneuver on me. Still ticked me off something fierce though.

I think you can find good RP in all four organizations, though yes Glomdoring seems to have the most widely consistent and loudest RP of the type they think is good.
However, I would choose your organization based on what kind of RP you want to do, not what others are doing. All four nations have exceedingly well written histories, motivations and roles, and therefore you will be able to enjoy excellent RP wherever you go. And if you start some involving events, others will join in no matter where you are.

Glom is quite well known for it's elitist "we're better than you!" attitude regarding RP. It's similiar to Celest's "we're better than you!" attitude when it comes to fighting. Partially based on truth, but by no means worth shoving in everyone's face every five seconds, though they do it anyway.
Glom isn't a bad place, but the best way to find RP is to RP. I'm sure you'll find people in any org willing to roleplay with someone who roleplays.

I wouldn't say that any more. You have a high concentration now. Glom is stepping up -point angkrag- Although Glom always has been small in total

Mag has a very entrenched roleplay, the great familys are very nice but you do risk the chance of being left out in the cold so to speak if people don't notice you I'm not saying you have to be in a great family but you do have to get the attention of someone already solidly based in mag already to really get into to.
Seren is fairly interesting, I did enjoy the druid roleplay there for a while although the moondancers do look interesting as well but I can't say much as I've not been in them, the seren rp does seem to change or adapt a lot which could be a good thing or a bad thing depending on your view and it has a lot of variaty and flow there's a lot of internal conflict and such so that may or may not be your cup of tea, glomdorings a solid base without much or nearly any internal conflict but it hasn't changed much, its fairly the same as when I first started there, I've got an alt in a warrior guild there which is different to the guild that I originaly played in and it's still roughly the same story and political status as before, so if your comming back and you've seen glomdoring before you may want to try somewhere different as not a lot has changed, but apparently the gods are attempting to change it now so that could be something to look forward to.
Celest I havn't played much in so i'm not going to say much.

Generally, I find the best RP is the person who takes the initiative and makes RP. However, I've changed RP to RI (role immersion) since it makes more sense. Create a story line, write your history, write your background, and then take off with as much fervor as you can possibly create.
