Well, since the old thread has been pretty dead and grown quite large over the years I have decided to open a new thread and start over fresh!

If you have a unique and creative emote you are dying to have added please add it to this thread in the following format, generously supplied to you from the newest emote in the game...see if you can figure out what it's called!

1: You cross your legs and bend awkwardly at the waist as you dance about uncomfortably.
3: Viravain crosses Her legs, bends awkwardly at the waist and dances about in an uncomfortable looking little jig.
1t: You gaze at the Forums with a whimper as you cross your legs, bend awkwardly at the waist and dance about uncomfortably.
2t: Viravain whimpers at you as she crosses her legs, bends at the waist and dances about in an uncomfortable looking jig.
3t: Viravain whimpers at the Forums as she crosses her legs, bends at the waist and dances about in an uncomfortable looking jig.

Now, as for poses you have two options. The first is what people see when they walk into the room and you're doing the pose all by your lonesome. The other is what they see when they walk into the room and you are targeting someone else. We'll call these POSE and TPOSE. If you wish to submit a new emote here then I ask that you follow the above layout...otherwise you just never know what you'll get.

Joeyjoejoe bites at the air bringing his jaws together with an audible clack.

With a soft growl you bite firmly.

Joeyjoejoe growls softly as he clamps his teeth down on you.

Joeyjoejoe utters a low growl and bites firmly.

Since the current Faeling emote is NOT that exciting I submit this as a Faeling racial emote:

FAEFLUTTER I suppose since FLUTTER already exists:

1. You flutter your wings and flit happily around the room.

3. Adee flutters her wings and flits happily around the room.

1t. You flutter your wings and flit happily about Viravain's head.

2t. Adee flutters her wings as she flits happily around your head.

3t. Adee flutters her wings as she flits happily around Viravain's head.

Not all Faelings are happy! I aliased over the flit emote.

(Also, try Hover. Hover is pretty close to that, just without the "happy" bit.)

For me, this brings up the whole "How big are faelings REALLY?" question. If they're circa pixie-size, I can see this. If they're circa Herve Villechaize size, "around your head" could be a cumbersome maneuver.

Also, Xinemus flits menacingly.

Aren't faelings like 1-2ft tall?

Up to ~3 for Shadowlords, according to the "1 point of size == 1/2 foot" semi-rule. Shadowlords are size 6.

Ok, so 1-3ft tall.... but yeah... I can see that being a bit cumbersome to dart around someone's head. Puts a funny picture in my head though!

Heh... try thinking about a 3-foot-tall Faeling with leather bat-like wings... hovering.

I have to suspend my disbelief for that one.

Pfft... that's just a super-funny picture is all! I'm thinking like that gremlin from the Gremlins movie where the mess went down in the big skyscraper in New York, the one that grew wings from eating genetic material...only with like a little elfy body, and it's hovering and flitting about my head and I'm not sure whether to laugh or duck cause you can totally see the strings, so it bangs into me and we all fall down.

My work bores me, so I often let my imagination play.

Yes, I know these will never go in, but I decided that was better than a ranty post at the ruination the shadowspawn have wrought in terms of the 'faeling' race.

Specialized races cannot have special emotes made for them.

Well, while not that surprising, it does leave Faelings in a bit of a pickle. Given that their specialized form is the polar opposite of their unspecialized form, as I was trying to demonstrate.
