Is there anyway to Sub things or Gag things in Nexus? I was reading the help file for it but that didn't mention anything and I'd really like to change some attacks so I enjoy them more.

Its one solid, but spammy client. I guess you could just play with highlights and backgrounds so you'll immediately see what you need to see.

Nexus, you can't gag or sub things. I don't think you can make echoes, either. I suggest either purchasing zMud, bumming it off someone who doesn't play MUDs (or has an extra license lying around), anymore, or getting the MUSH client (I believe it's free, same thing as zMud, but more difficult coding).

What exactly is echo for? I use Nexus too, and if I knew what some of these things were for, I might be better at certain things... Like being able to heal afflictions, maybe.

Echo is like...a dull red message that appears on your screen to tell you something. So you could have aeon triggered to

#echo DRINK PHLEGMATIC

and whenever you got aeoned you'd have a big

DRINK PHLEGMATIC come up on your screen.

I use echoes for when I want to track my health/mana/ego.

I checked out Nexus. Seems echoes only come in that dull red font color, unless I'm missing something. in zMud (and I am pretty sure in MUSH), you can have long echoes with separate background colors that flash, such as when you get aeoned, having, "********DRINK PHLEGMATIC*******" will appear with a white background and red font flashing.

This helped me a lot with Nexus, before I switched to MUSHclient and bought Ethelon's system.
