Anyone heard of Sager laptops, specifically I'm looking through pc torque's website and the overall price/quality seems to be top notch. I need something heavy duty because I'm replacing the freaking desktop I just built because my new job requires constant travel. Any other suggestions in terms of gaming quality laptops are welcome. Thanks!

For work and Internet use:

Buy a Lenovo thinkpad with Linux on it (If they still offer these), or buy one with no OS and install Linux on it. Alternatively, get a macbook.

For gaming:

Buy a Nintendo DS.

No... but gaming on any sort of mobile computer is uncomfortable and expensive. I game on PCs because I have a desktop.

I got Animal Crossing: Wild World, and Mario Kart DS. But that's about it, I think. I don't have too many games.

But more on topic... about laptops.

I use a DELL. it's has been really good to me. They provide some good service for when I need it and their laptops are nice and customizable. Good for text-based games (since obviously to play Lusternia I don't need the latest technology or the best graphics card out there), web surfing, and music. Although if you're more into music, I would suggest a mac.

I'd recommend a macbook, as not only does it kickass all by itself, but, if there's anything you absolutely have to have windows for, BootCamp and Parallels easily takes care of it.

If you're looking to play graphics intensive games, you'll have to go for a MacBook Pro though, because they have upgradeable graphics cards, where as the basic macbook has an integrated.

Edit: Oh, and I've had two dell laptops prior to this macbook, and I've had a certain problem with both of them-- the powercord has got to be the most horribly designed part of the computer. It sticks out the back and is just begging to be tweaked. I had to replace my powercord on both laptops (for like $80 a piece) because the cord casing pulled away from the end of it and eventually the wire inside like bent to much so that it broke, or something. But it happened twice. And then on the second laptop, the same problem caused the powerjack inside the computer to break.

Macs have the lovely magnetic powercord, and its been nothing but a dream thus far.

I game on mine just fine and it means I can take my computer with me when I go visiting my family. All I need other than the laptop is my bluetooth mouse, which came with bundled with it. Works fine for me.
