I demand spectacles. Non-artie ones. They just look cool. And some of us have vision impairment.

I like this idea. Under jewelry, probably?
Daganev2007-02-01 00:25:19
Why would you have bad eyesight with so much magic?

You could also just wear non-prescription glasses because you like the way they look.
As long as we don't have sunglasses, woof.
Unknown2007-02-01 00:33:03
And monocles.
Razenth2007-02-01 00:36:53
With all this magic, I'm surprised we DON'T have vision problems. All that poring over ancient tomes in the middle of the night and those excessively flashy and bright spells cannot be good you. Especially for Celestines, who have the closest connection to the Light. Ugh, my eyeballs.
Nerra2007-02-02 21:25:11
Artisans should make them. Why? Artisans need more things to sell.
Aison2007-02-02 23:24:40
Good idea, please do it. I'd just about pay the 400 (I think) credits for the spectacles. Not because they are totally useless, but because they are cool-looking.
Unknown2007-02-02 23:34:41
I want a monocle as well.
Arix2007-02-03 04:00:31
I would recommend glasses for all those Celestians who are being blinded by the Light
Aison2007-02-03 04:08:55
Thanks for being so considerate.
Unknown2007-02-03 04:36:30
I'm just wondering, if you can cure physical blindness, why would you be unable to cure myopia/eye illnesses?
Of course, they could simply be a fashion statement rather than a prescription kind of thing.

Whoo, I want spectacles too. Technically, they do exist in non-artifact form in Lusternia. The "Haughty scribes" at printing presses have 'em.
I wouldn't say no to the ability to make rose-tinted glasses, either.

Ooh, I like this idea.

O rly?
Bookbinders should sell them! And while I realise that makes absolutely no sense, bookbinders have about as much clientele as...as something with very little clientele (someone help me with a proper analogy?)
Also, Arix wins this thread.

it sounds like a good idea.

Well, if the Fates re-weave your body every time you die, why do so many people walk around with battle scars and missing fingers? The way I see it, the Fates are pretty arbitrary in how they choose which changes to your body they want to keep, and which are erased with each new weave..and in some cases, the vision disorder is simply woven in permanently.
In Mire's case, she's worn glasses since she was very small, and her vision has gotten progressively worse as she insists on reading very small text in very dim light..at any rate, I've been writing glasses into her description as I'd really like her to have them.

Bookbinders have about as much clientèle as a vegan restaurant has Texans.
(please don't hurt me)

I think this could be fun
*Daruin adjusts his spectacles as he leans forward, glaring at you in an unnerving manner.*
Kind of an anime-esque type of thing.

Mire2007-02-06 00:37:20
I mean..I use the glasses in emotes frequently anyway (and it's always amusing when Mire loses/breaks a pair), but it would be nice to have something more concrete.
Unknown2007-02-06 01:25:07
I'd totally wear them, even though I hate wearing glasses IRL. 8-)
