Seems like Ild wasn't paying much attention early on. He had massive time to recover from simple aeons.

I'm assuming he died because he didn't know how to cure perfectfifth to prevent the soulless from resolving.

Songs effected him during the start of the fight, didn't have deafness up it seems. He could have ordered his hound to clamp me while I was flinging him, would buy him time to recover.

Seemed more like he was afk, he sat there curing, you didn't perfectfifth until the end, and he didn't start attacking until after the sixth rub. Have to ask, why didn't you use PrincessFarewell, stick the herb failing one as your 7 stanza, and PrincessFarewell as your 6, you could have blanknoted, then PrincessFarewell'd him, well if he was actually doing anything, wouldn't that be a better start to your combat, then just aeon and justice?

Didn't have time to set up a song with Princessfarewell up, the song I had ready was for group combat. And what saved me there was Tripleflash, makes all warrior attacks useless since we avoid direct attacks.

And for the trick of blanknote, Princessfarewell and start rubbing will work if he didn't have quicksilver up, that's 6 power to just strip it and another three to keep him from hitting me back, will also waste 3 power if I play Princessfarewell with deafness up, and I don't recover fast enough in throwing tarots FYI.

Hmm, as a Furrikin you should have enough gap after Blanknote to put in Princessfarewell in either the stun, or the sixth-sense prevention which I've been told it give, which then in turn gives you aeon, or quick silver removed, stun and blackout, the blackout should last long enough for you to get a rub off, or to restick aeon.

... well.. he looks pretty damn afk to me. So I have to ask.. why have you posted this in the combat thread, when the only feedback you can get is how best to kill afk people?

If it's just another instance of "I hate Ildaudid OOCly, so I'm going to rub in the way I jumped him afk by posting it on the forums".. then you should feel ashamed. Tsk tsk.

Okay, to clear things off, he attacked me first, since I was unprepared, I hermit out, then prepare my songs, tarot cards and go back and attack him. It's nothing to do with me hating him OOCly so to speak.

Chances are if someone used to fighting isn't doing anything, it's likely they are AFK. Lysandus has earned the Lame trophy, and it's been supersized since he's a Champion.

You're welcome to post the ones which aren't lame, dear boy. You just need to be a little discerning about which or your fights can walk, and which need a stretcher and a pair of burly ambulance men.

Lysandus, Aiakon is right. No one's trying to beat you down OOCly but contrary to what some people might tell you, this section is first for analysing serious fights, not enlarging your e-peen with dubious logs. Now go duel him and post the log here, regardless of the outcome.. or something

If only there were more people who realized that...

The point of this thread is to gather suggestions about how to improve your tactics, or to show examples of good tactics for other people. It's actually much more helpful if you post logs where you LOSE. If you win incredibly easily and without an profound tactics, it might be a good chance for us all to applaud and admire, but it doesn't really contribute all that much.

I'm actually behind this suggestion. Go spar him, and whether you win or lose post the log so we can all really analyze things and offer some helpful feedback, instead of just reading that someone killed someone.

Talk about being harsh! Ildaudid started something and then went AFK somewhere that he could be killed? Okay, maybe he got disconnected unexpectedly, but maybe he just went to eat dinner, who knows? The point is he should have been somewhere safe and paying attention to what was happening, if at all possible.

Lysandus is a fairly new (and still relatively unskilled) Champion, but I applaud him for making an effort to improve his combat.

Seriously though, I was semi-afk on the second time he jumped me and totally forgot I was fighting a bard. So he managed to keep me down, since I was trying to use tactics for cosmics, not bards... which obviously didn't work well. Forgot to deaf, put up a few of my defenses which were already down, and was trying to figure out if my gust enchant decayed or if it was not working do to me losing alot of updates in my system from the night before.


But yeah he won that one, due to my errors.

But I didn't jump him first, actually he tried jumping me, he likes to do it when I am getting ganked by 3 monks normally but this time he jumped me, almost had his ass handed to him and fled, then I went and checked the stock market real quick and started picking up old traps, while being scried by all of celest, (speaking of that, get your noobs to know the scry rules, I dont think they know they cant scry every time the recover eq.) he came back better prepared, and like I said above got me. Not a big deal, the only thing I regret is that I typed DT (declare target) in the midst of something, so no status, now I cannot kill him 2 times, only 1 since he will hide behind status next time I kill him for 30 more days.

There is no scry rule, I believe.. just scry etiquette

Technically repeated scrying is issuable, however, anyone who issues over it is indefinitely classified as a Manbitch if male.
