I was just thinking it would be really nice if on the website and perhaps in game we could see a list of all the families and maybe even their family trees? I love having a browse through the family trees of the Talnaras, for example, and it would be nice if a whole list was available to see how the Basin is related.
Reiha2007-02-05 05:26:28
As soon as you marry someone, you're related to all of Lusternia, if not all of your organization. But I'm sure people would love to browse through the ever growing Kalas list, though

It would be nice if we could actually have a half decent family system, instead of the gimpy version we're stuck with now.

Ask the god formerly known as Prince, err Soll
He has this crazy family tree that he showed me once and told me I was his grandson

Lusternia's family system is a lot more superior compared to Achaea's, in my opinion. Before Achaea made a decent change, you could bloodline anyone at any time if you were the right age.
Meaning, we had about a dozen girls go, "OH EM GEE, WE NEED MORE BABIES" and bloodline 100+ people. Now you have to wait to have children based on ages and waits and stuff. Beldaran and Candace come to mind in this sense. I'm not sure if you can do that in Lusternia.
You can do BLOODLINE SHOW in Achaea and it shows their closer direct-bloodline relatives.
I like how in Lusternia you have to find all this out via IC interaction. A bit more difficult to do, but worth it. You could probably also trace back bloodlines and then make a family tree in a journal or some such for people to add to. It really makes you invest in character interaction to find out about families before you decide OOCly to join them and such.

There was a time when I associated the Kalas family with power, now I just associate them with rabbits, or perhaps, the breeding habits of said animals. Watch out! You're becoming like a Serenwilde family!

There's an equivalent in Lusternia. I've forgotten it temporarily, as I'm not in game.. but something like family tree d'Murani or family tree Aiakon or possibly family show.
Unknown2007-02-05 10:37:02
Family tree *family* will show the entire family of that, all the generations, founders, inactive and such, Family tree *person* Will just show all of that person immediate relations, parents, siblings, children, grandchildren and so forth.

Not my fault! Athana keeps using me for kids. It's rather hard to be a rabbit when "litters" consist of one at a time with no exceptions for twins/triplets/etc.

And in return, it stifles RP. I can only blame the mentally deficient scribes in the hall of records for my absence on the Talnara tree for so long before it just becomes pathetic.
