How do you recover willpower in significant amounts? Are there Healing abilities or what not heal them? Skills? I know that we have passive willpower regen, and that meditating or rocking on a rocking chair increases it, but what else? Are there any others? What about willpower gems? At the moment, I'm seriously considering picking up an experience buffer and then just killing myself to recover the 10k odd willpower I need to regen.

The maiden Moondancer fae and Sacaraments.... benediction (?) give blessings, and one of the nine or so different types is willpower regeneration. If you're willing to spend some power, you can regain a fair bit.

Well if you conglut that might not be a bad idea actually...

It's a good idea to have some of those blessings up all the time anyway, and since they come at random it could only cost 3 power for the first use, or it might cost more.

You'll lose even less if you conglute in org-territory, but doing that to regain willpower does seem a bit abusive.

Actually, if the character was weak of mind, his willpower could be all that was keeping him from killing himself in the first place, and so as his willpower drains, he's unable to stay his dark thoughts and stops his own heart, thus strengthening his will for another stint.

Or it could just be that you don't roleplay doing it on purpose. Remember that HEARTSTOP loses more exp than just dying to something, so if you attack a mob and let it kill you, you can just roleplay that your mind was too fatigued and you weren't able to concentrate on your defense.

You could get a Cantor to stand around and play Processional for you, it regens willpower

Find a rocking chair, sit in it, ROCK CHAIR, and then meditate. Campfires help too.
Edit: D'oh, you already said rocking chairs. Sorry. Campfires are good though.

Astrologers can always cast spheres where Sidiak is positive to recover a very nice amount of willpower. Tarox for endurance.

There's nothing in the Healing skillset to recovery a target's willpower. You're best bet would be to have a willpower rune, and meditate, on a rocking chair, in a manse room with a willpower regen gem. Even then you're going to be there for quite awhile. After some of those double or triple influencing days I believe I was sitting in Elryn's manse for an hour or two trying to regen, and Dreamweavers have it even worse.Maiden/benediction are ok, but speaking from experience the hundred or so it gives randomly can't really be count on. I've blown through 10 power on maiden's before without significant results on the target. It's more an extra little thing thrown in there then a main use for the skills.
As for campfires, do they regen willpower? I thought they were endurance-only.

This worked once, but I've been told this was a bug that has since been fixed.

The best way to regen willpower that I've found is meditating in a manse room that has a willpower gem in it. Also, rocking chairs are wonderful to put in such rooms. Some class skills help nicely too (campfire, processional, and of course, greenman facepaint ).

There is no better way to regen willpower then to have a moondancer sic a horde of maidens at you. The moondancer will easily burn through most, if not all, of their reserves but your willpower will regen very very fast.
Shiri and Vix did this for me a few times and I have no words for my gratitude. Its a simple matter to go get enough essence to repay them so they can overdraw too.

Well this has been fascinating. After all this helpful info, I just ended up rocking my mind out in my guild hall for... an hour and a half.
But thanks anyways!

I thought you could regain willpower/endurance by being beaten in a spar in the arena.

I'm pretty sure that is some sort of mild abuse however. Didn't amaru get a slap on the wrist a while back for using the arena to keep def'ing without actually using any power?Unknown2007-02-11 02:46:45

I think it doesn't work that way. I think (read: I'm almost sure, but I'm in no position to make actual tests) that after a spar ends you end up with the same willpower and endurance that you had before the spar. No matter did you win or lose.
As for power-buffing in the arena, I did it hundreds o'times and no wrist slapping for me.
