Here it is in all its glory... RUN AEON is where the alias ran for aeon of course
Ixion2007-02-12 18:05:04
Talkan, yeah you took entirely too long to cure aeon.
Don't bother with coltsfoot against other guardians. Always expect to have anorexia, so focus mind it out. A little alias can let you sparkle and healing scroll your mana after you get out of aeon. Disloyalty was pretty rough from disfigure, your angel went back on you, messing you up worse than you could recover from.

Malarious, be careful about using double cures (i.e. as you did for vapors curing), it can get you into trouble if you aren't careful how you work your checks and redundancy with optimizing cure balances.

Why didn't Talkan's angel attack right from the getgo?
Unknown2007-02-12 18:21:26
she wasn't attacking because I was saving her for soulless. However, I had disloyalty and since I have a setting that doesn't cure disloyalty when an angel hits because it thinks I'm just fighting another celestine. I think I'm going to either delete the setting or never turn it on again, since it's far easier just to drink love a bunch in the arena than die outside of it

Ground rule for celestines.. if angel doesnt hit.. hit the angel or give disloyal.. try to force the angel into play if possible.

Ok, first off I think you should switch your invests Malarious. The way it was all timed out he was just shrugging off your impaitience before you aeoned him, that is why I suggest Shackles Anorexia Stupidity, it keeps him from doing any real offense and slows his aeon curing down enough. His curing is sloppy(No offense, but it does need work) and you could of overloaded him alot earlier. I would open with a hangedman, then fling 2 aeons, then disfigure. Your first disfigure(and the others as well I beleive) were all out of aeon so if he had better curing thye would of been completely ineffective. I know you weren't in lich so I don't mention contag. At the beginning you should of just kept shielding, 95% of fighters would be spamming rub soulless too get it in quick as possible and end up hitting it, even if he doesn't it throws him off long enough. You can also use moon tarot to hinder his curing, I found it to be very effective to fling 3 or 4 moons before I began aeoning again if they managed to survive my initial flurry. Also you should wait till he is aeoned before you quicken, otherwise they can run faster and just shield whore. As far as inq goes you did what was the best bet, move and shield, move and shield. You are doing good but need to work on your timing somemore and remember to stay in Lich so you can contag him. Also I assume you were using shackles on with your symbol, I never tested the timing but I think hangedman would be more effective or depending if he sips(or cures for that matter) or not during your quickening web as your last move in it, not leech.

I don't quite understand. Could you elaborate? Sorry!
Malarious2007-02-13 18:19:25
No problem. They leave angel passive to try to hinder and use vapors and such to fling the soulless. By disloyal or attacking it you cause it to start attacking and using up wrath. This means (assuming you didnt kill it) they only get 1 ailments. Angel is how they enforce soulless landing just have to get it to start acting before they paln to make it a pain in the neck for them.
EDIT: and as a note.. I put this log up as a request becasue people wanted to see more logs.

What if they leave it somewhere else, open channels before hand, then right before they fling and have balance they summon it and order it to attack? Would that work to counter that?
Unknown2007-02-13 18:26:27
If our angel isn't attacking, it's either because we're stupid and forgot to activate it, in which case we'll probably be easy to deal with, or we're saving Wrath for something specific, like throwing Soulless after we have all our rubs

That's what I used to do against Malarious because he always tried to stick disloyalty while it was passive.

Yep its common sense to try to screw over your angel Sham.. so Sham started getting rid of his. That stops disloyal but it also enhances base offense.
