About 74 months left on each - you are going to want to rune these. I'm asking for 100 credits as the starting bid for the second one, and 150 credits for the first one.

It is a one-handed weapon.
Damage: 84 Precision: 237 Speed: 175
A prismatic white-steel scimitar has no poisons or magical effects on it.

Good luck, people don't seem to realize how hard it is to achieve such nice weapons. And yours are great. But the players here think everything should cost them next to nothing. Half the time they think the price for the comms alone are to high. /rant
Kharaen2007-03-08 00:26:51
I agree with Ildaudid. I have great swords for great prices (less then I paid for them, actually), and they've been sitting there for a while now. People want cheap, no matter HOW RIDICULOUSLY EASY IT IS to get gold.
Exeryte2007-03-08 02:32:45
shocked.gif Wow...very well done with those! I thought 235 precision was the cap for scimitars. Definitely keepers.
Ixion2007-03-08 04:12:21
"Caps" are like exceptional absolutes in an interesting paradox. The forging code is so ridiculously complex that ungodly rare outliers like that will always exist under the current system. Such has been true since day one, with the most prominent examples being one handed damage weapons that surpassed my old broadswords by quite a bit.
Ildaudid2007-03-08 04:58:32
But still people will want them handed to them for 25k a sword... That is just how the mentality is here, the non-forging people have no clue how long it takes to make weapons of exceptional calibur. And the ones who forge, well unless they just don't feel like dealing with it, they forge themselves. Then of course you have the warrior's alts... who are forgers and make weapons with them illegally and take away our buisness....

Now buy these scimmies, buy my hammers and morningstars people.....!!!! Read my ad 67 for hammer and my thread for stars!!

Those are absolutely superb weapons. Keep em for yourself and rune em. Lots. Damn... if I was BM.. I'd be buying em like a shot.

I reeeeally want to get these, but have no where near enough of the resources. tongue.gif

Some of us would pay if we ever HAD that much money at a given time.
Ildaudid2007-03-08 16:45:27
It is easy to bash 30k a day on prime, well it is sometimes easy to. With the limited bashing areas if there are lots of people on then it could be a pain. But if gorgogs are clear you can go to town with them and killing sharks in the seas. Also open the rift for the gorgogs to come through, you get a neat honors line and I think you get gold for doing it..

People love it when you open the rift tongue.gif
Genevieve2007-03-08 17:23:43
I wouldn't mind having the rift open if my novices didn't die all the time on the inner sea. It's a real pain, so I always work to close it.
Ixion2007-03-08 22:13:11
Too bad Aiakon to rune them you'd have to temper a good portion of speed or precision.

What's the damage minimum? I assumed there'd be space there.

limited bashing areas

You see... I really don't get this.

There may be limited bashing areas for Celestians.. but we Magnagorans have got endless choice. Over the last ten levels, I frequently hit Carai Caroo and Zoaka, and I never saw anyone else there. Bashing Tosha is nice too - so long as you look out for a vengeful Lysandus. Bash the observatory - 20 lucidian astrologers, 2 named mobs, freaks, spiders. I've never gone there and found it empty. At lower levels, there's even more choice - the Earth Planes - no one routinely bashes gargoyles, but they're 450 essence a time and there are lots of em. Few people bash in the Sea of Despair.. and so on.

Anyway..

Diamondais2007-03-09 13:44:32
Three named mobs in that place actually, the little Freak girl who wants vengence on the Lucidians.
Trakis2007-03-09 14:27:55
Wow. I saw the number of responses, and made the mistake of getting hopeful.

That 237 precision scimitar is very likely the best scimitar in the game right now.

Can these scimitars even be runed?

QUOTE
*SPECIAL NOTE* No great rune will attach to any onehanded weapon that has
stats with an aggregate total of its three stats (damage, speed, precision)
of over 463. For two-handed weapons, you must divide damage in half and
divide precision by 2.2. Add those two results with speed and that must not
be over 463.

You have to temper the weapons, which lowers their stats until you lower them to 463 points total. Obviously this means that to a certain extent, many of the runed weapons are very similar in stats. (Broadswords have maximum speed and damage, and scimitars and rapiers have maximum precision and speed).

The neat thing about the 237 precision rapier is that it allows you to have a higher precision cap than normally possible.

Ya know... knights really are -the- most expensive class. It has always surprised me just how much gold / credits you need to invest just to get decent weapons -and- a decent amount of skills.

On the one side people complain about not getting enough bound credits / lessons from leveling to trans a single skill.. on the other you have people spending huge amounts of gold / credits just on weapons... it's nuts

EDIT: Oh yes, and then you have the skill coule in Blademaster that makes you drop your weapons even if you grip and have selfishness up.. so people can steal something you might have spent 150+ credits on... so you have to invest even -more- just to keep them. And now imagine you want to switch from BM to any other.. it starts all over again. Just nuts.

Read my previous post. No they cannot without knocking off quite a bit of speed/prec.

That isn't alot when you get up in levels Aiakon, and when you have 10 other people doing the same thing. There isn't much gold or exp in any of that. We are always told, we wont get more cool skills, etc. Until we get more people. We know we wont get more people until we have more areas to handle the influx of people. Thus we are caught in an evil loop.

Exactly, which is why I find it so sad to see when people keep implenting things to nerf warriors more and more. No one truly seems to realize how much goes into playing a warrior here, except people who have been warriors. We our outclassed by archetypes who don't have to invest half as much as we do, and they can kill us faster at higher levels than we could ever even dream of... Sadly warriors just plain ol get the shaft.... And get beat down on forging prices to boot....
