I just got guild wars from a friend for my birthday. I havn't been able to play yet because I've spent all day shoveling out. I was just wondering if anyone else here plays

Which expansion? I've been playing quite a lot lately. Iridiel plays sometimes, but not too often. Elysiana and Hiriako play as well.

I play when social life allows, it's a very fun game None of that old grinding at least so far!

I play it, though not as frequently since my graphic card burnt out. (cheap Wal*Mart card) Though I may occasionally see me on during a weekend event I deem interesting, and most definatly during a holiday event... during the first or second comming of the holiday guest.

Personally, I prefer Prophecies over the other two any how, mainly because it's the only one where you're rewarded with skills for completing quests.

Is guild wars another pay-per-month game like warcraft? , I heard it's pretty awesome.

One time payment. You buy the game and that's all. I've been playing for a bit now and I like it a lot more then WoW.

I love it for the simple reason it's an graphical online game I can play whenever I want without dragging the credit card out and it's actually good.

I love guildwars for that reason as well.

But I can't get myself to buy the expansions, although I really should.

So that's where you went =\\ I was trying to be logged in at the time you get home from work, but never saw you. Of course, I have been sick for the past few days and not online, but meh.


And Nightfall is amazing. Factions isn't worth buying. In Nightfall, you do get rewarded with skills for completing quests and killing stuff.... kinda. As you get Sunspear points and Lightbringer points, you get hero skill points, which you trade in for whatever skill you want. Far more flexible than Prophecies, where you get random skills. Also, Heros (highly controllable henchmen) and Junundu (the best Dune ripoff EVER) are <3.

I tried Guild Wars, and I was ready to love it. And the PvP is fun, I like how they did it.

But the PvE is CRAP. Absolutely worthless and not at all fun.

I strongly disagree. I tried WoW and felt exactly that way though - who could grind grind grind all day long and enjoy it? o_O

No internet at home and barely no MSN at work either due to too much working. Ends soon, thankfully Next week or saturday I should have internet back
