Okay, following this is my first try on a damage kill on Veyda.

Look, comment, and for gods sake, give me some help to kill someone quicker!

My flails. Seems I forgot to rune them. <.<

Damage: 190 Precision: 131 Speed: 162
It is crawling with dark shadows.
A colossal punisher flail has no poisons or magical effects on it.

Damage: 190 Precision: 150 Speed: 157

My strategy? Hit anything that wasn't parried and crush head when I had power.

How do you have so much health? shocked.gif I'm a level 74 tae'dae and have 4592 health and 2594 mana.
Ashteru2007-03-22 23:15:33
Level 3 health artie, catablessing, surge and yellow. Usually, just with surge and artie, I am at about 7.8
Daganev2007-03-22 23:15:34
Personally, I would change your strategy to go for wounding kills.

Also, I find that hits to the gut and chest -appear- to do more damage than hits to the arms and legs.
Ashteru2007-03-22 23:17:29
That's what I am trying next, got already one max prec morning. But still, I always liked the thought of Tae'dae smooshing their enemies. :/ Wounding is so meh.

Hrm, and I need to test that gut/chest thing out.

You missunderstand me.

What I am saying is that you use your heavy damage weapons, as if they were wounding weapons.

Theoretically, the damage should be causing them to not apply health, so you will still outwound them, and with tae'dae strength, the amount of wounds you do is not minimal.
Hazar2007-03-22 23:20:06
The idea being, ideally, to make them split between damage and wounding.
Trakis2007-03-22 23:23:27
Those swords are really slow. How much time do you have between each swing? That might be why you're having trouble building up wounds. Compared to another race, like Taurian, a Tae'dae is dealing out only slightly more damage at a noticeably slower rate.

If you're set on Tae'dae (I know you're a changeling), get faster broadswords.
Hazar2007-03-22 23:28:07
I think you mean flails. And he sold the cameo.
Ashteru2007-03-22 23:29:00
Daganev: Well, I do think I forced him to sip instead of applying at the end there...:/ But I see what you mean, yeah. Wanted to go for brainbash after a while anyway, but I had my macros for smitedown and bash right mixed up.

Trakis: Not changeling anymore, didn't want to get tempted to change. Cough. And I hit at about 4.8 seconds, so slightly slower than sipping is.
Daganev2007-03-22 23:31:48
I would also suggest going for 180/x/160 flails instead. if you can get the flails to 190 I think you will hit 4.5 seconds.
Ashteru2007-03-22 23:33:34
Hrm, what if I go for 180/160/x ? Wouldn't it be better to build up more wounds than more speed?

Probabbly, I think the slowest you will swing is 5.5 seconds.

but I think for wounding it would be better to go 180/180/x
Daganev2007-03-22 23:36:54
New suggestion...

Make two more sets of flails, 180/180/x and 180/x/170 And see what you can get and then try them and see what works better.

I'm stuck with the flails I have since I customized them, or I'd try that myself.
Trakis2007-03-22 23:43:40
A broadsword exactly like a flail. They are both pieces of metal the hurt like a mother******.

I still think you'd do better if you got broadswords with stats like 180 x 180, and just try to damage (and also wound) as fast as possible. A tae'dae with 200 x 200 broadswords is going to hurt.
Ashteru2007-03-22 23:46:52
Hrm, think I'll do what you guys said and get another two sets of flails. They are surprisingly cheap to forge anyway.

I got 2 capped morningstars for sale, ask Airees the stats on them, he is borrowing them for now, until I get his other godly matched morningstar made (That means hurry up POPS and get your forge so I can start forging it again tongue.gif )
Ashteru2007-03-23 16:40:55
pish, I am a forger myself, I don't need your ol' mafia-ass to forge for me. :>
Ashteru2007-03-24 14:48:21
t is a one-handed weapon.
Damage: 166 Precision: 193 Speed: 137
A colossal punisher flail has no poisons or magical effects on it.

Hmm, what do you say about this one? Fully deffed, the stats would be 185/213/157, doesn't sound too bad imho. Going to try to forge a matching one for this baby.
