Blademaster/Bonecrusher with one waepon and a shield.. would be able to shieldparry, shieldstun, and shieldriposte... pinleg or slitthroat with stun could be nasty. But is it doable? What would it take to be viable?

I'd think you'd want to have two swords most of the time, and then switch to sword/shield when you want to shieldstun/pinleg or shieldstun/behead.

Actually using a sword/shield as your primary fighting technique isn't really viable.

One weapon means too little damage/wounding to do anything good as a warrior. Sword and Board as a fighting style is an "I lose" button. The only time when it's useful for a warrior to have a shield in the hand is when you're trying to pull a special combo and you HAVE to have a 100% stun chance on one of your hits. But even then, you'd be having your shield unwielded 99% of the time, and having an actual weapon in that hand instead.

Short version: shieldstun+pinleg = good. But with only one weapon, you'll never make the enemy have enough wounds for pinleg to work.

It is really not worth it to even bother. Even if you use it just as an end battle thing why bother? You could instead wield that second weapon and just end it quicker. Plus why bother shield stun when you can knockdown/wind someone while doing afflictions/wounding/damage? It is just like the unspeced faeling idea. You can think of ways in theory it would work, but when you come down to it, it just won't. What we need are pollarms....I been playing ire's for around 5 years and still not got a damn pollarm spec...... -insert pointless rant-

Maybe because you should be asking for a "polearm spec" instead. Attacking people with multiple-choice questions, even at arm's length, just wouldn't be very effective.
