Lots of people make manse rooms that are intended to be outdoors in their description, but there's no way to flag a room as outdoor. It'd be nice if you could, but maybe that opens a can of worms in terms of skills that require being outdoors or something. As the next best thing, how about if artisans can make indoor or outdoor furniture in manses? Only in manses the outdoor flag would be ignored. After all, the manse owner already is responsible for making the descriptions of the rooms make sense, so now the manse owner would also be responsible for making sure the furniture suited it. What's the worst that could happen?
(Actually, very few outdoor locations are even flagged for furniture, so even discounting manses, outdoor patterns are largely useless. None of the outdoor locations in my guildhall are flagged for furniture, and in all of Serenwilde's public areas, I've found exactly one room that is.)

Furthermore, how about if weapon racks also preserved instruments? Sure, an instrumentbond preserves instruments in use, but that means you can only have one. They just cost too much to have a second for "artistic" purposes unless there's some way to preserve them. It'd be good for artisans too. And it wouldn't be unbalancing; the only reason you'd use this is for the sake of performances.

Or maybe a new artisan skill for Instrument Cases?
