Your Character's Personality

So, describe your character's personality, in depth or in brief.

Novinha is a viscanti girl with a tendency for three things: silly remarks, constant profanity, and pissing everyone off.

Quite an unholy trinity.

And you complain after being murdered repeatedly.

ETA: Been there, done that.
Hazar2007-04-10 02:48:17
Veyda loves lamp.

Erm. What's with the self-referential link?

Does Veyda really love the lamp, or are you just saying it because you saw it?

Oops. This is what I meant.

Good choice of thread!!! This is somthing that I have been thinking about, but becasue I am still a newbie, my character is still developing. I will take a rain check and come back to you all later with a response to this. peace.gif
Valarien2007-04-10 09:07:50
I'm gonna contribute, go me.

Valarien is a bard. Yes, he's wearing fieldplate. No, that's not a sword. It's a violin. No, that's not a scabbard. It's an instrument case. (Thanks to Xen for that concept)

Beyond that, Val's just... Val. Prone to being random and violent, along with some other things. Really, Val's just a jovial person. Always willing to help out littlebies, and always looking for converts. After all, what's more beautiful than Glomdoring? Beyond that, though, he has an irrational hatred for most people from Serenwilde (liek zomg nowai), and a rapidly growing disdain for many people from Magnagora - Though he's still civil, and more than a couple Mags hold his respect.
Jasato2007-04-10 09:56:41
Ah, Jasato...so many conceptions, so little time. He's my "mould" of anything.

Jasato, during early conception, was the helpful, "Seeking the Light and redemption" Fallen Angel Concept. He still maintains this somewhat, but apparently, doesn't get too far or is looked upon fondly with such a title.

During his years, he's been eaten, bled, drowned, stabbed, fossilized, head exploded, and so on. This causes him to have abit of contempt, but for himself more so then others. Also, because of this, he's found that his frustrations build up more and more, causing him to get alittle "bloodthirsty".

Overall, he's the helpful Healer, seeking to make abit of gold on the side with his jewelry as best as he can. He's of the Guardian Archetype, so Guardianship is in his nature. He believes there's a chance that differences can be placed to the side, and believe discrimination is unheard of. He tries to give people a chance, no matter of nature, but also has to understand his position within his city. He keeps to his duties, but hopes that one day, things will be ironed out and become balanced.

To top it all, he's lecherous, rather lewd, but only to those he's friendly with. He's devoted, joking, and always tries to keep a cheery disposition, regardless of the situation.

How's that?
Tzekelkan2007-04-10 20:58:03
Tzekelkan was a pacifist, but that time is now rather over. Now the only reason which keeps him from fully entering combat is the OOC time required to fully devote oneself to it and to several other aspects of a combatant's life (i.e. bashing for gold for credits and equipment.)

He almost got to be Verithrax' right hand man a few eons ago, which says something. More about Verithrax, really - it says he wasn't always like he is now, but that he admitted himself. tongue.gif

He likes knowledge and reason, but he is a devout follower of the Light, one of the Basin's few whose faith is unrelenting, not only to the City of Lights, but to the Holy Guild of the Celestines as well. He was once a Merciful Judge (Celestine admin), but due to OOC reasons on my part, the post is being held by someone else at the moment.

He is now rather, sort of old-ish, with slight hints of insanity and is chronically afraid of dwarves. He is harmonious and at peace with himself and avoids getting angry. Although he has little tolerance for stupidity, he would rather sigh and make a cynical remark than raise arms against the inexorably immature, especially if they are of the Light (which is not an wholly uncommon occurence, but please refrain from sustaining that the entirety of the uneducated populace of Lusternia is found within New Celest).

He also misses this place and thinks about, once again, coming back, but has very little time at his disposal.

And whose idea was it that smilies be crowned? They are not entirely unlike Vogon poetry.
Murphy2007-04-11 12:21:00
Murphy believes he is the hardest man alive. He has a bit of a god complex (well developed) but hides it more nowadays.

Murphy is a kitten. He just hides it behind sharp pointy things.

Sounds masturbatory to me. Like Keats to Byron.

I'm trying to get my character's personality together. Basically, the way I picture her is motherly and protective over her guild and commune mates - especially the younger ones. She's also very patient and spiritual. Hopefully, I can get her into an order soon.

I'm still ironing out her character though. I've always played being very proud of her race, but since I don't know many other Aslarans in-game, its sort of hard. My racial clan seems to have gone inactive, so that's no help. Well, I've thought about reincarnating into the dragon race, whose name escapes me right now. I think it'll be cool to breathe fire wink.gif, but I love Aslarans.

I'm fairly certain Verithrax wouldn't allow me, or any other, to get that close to him. Maybe just one someone, which he's mentioned once, but it was in the context of her being inactive.

Hmm...I think I'll just go with Leviah on this one, since I've had him the longest.

Leviah is a pretty fun-loving guy, always joking, and just generally has fun with life. He also is a great lover of beauty, and one of the main reasons he works with jewelry is so he can be proud of making beautiful things. You're more likely to find him watching the sunrise over the Inner Sea than you are to find him going out of his way to slam creatures...but he does the latter if only to help Celest, which he loves dearly. He's also fiercely loyal to those he cares about, but he spends less time fighting and more time reading in the library or working with gems. In essence, he's a lover, not a fighter, and always looking forward to learning something new about his city and his world. He's a hardcore scholar, in other words. wink.gif
Iola2007-05-24 13:18:43
I'm meant to be working, so obviously I thought I'd do something constructive. Like reply to this thread.

Iola is, as anyone that has had the misfortune to meet her will know, a very excitable person. She is a very innocent young faeling, who has a lot of naïvety when it comes to the world. Beyond being a very happy person, however, she is fiercely loyal to her family and friends (and she considers the whole of Serenwilde to be her friends) and will go to any lengths to help people out. She is not by any means a fighter (I'll come onto that), yet she insists on getting stronger so that she can help defend her allies against whatever they may come up against.

Going back to the issue of her not being a fighter - Iola does not like things dying. Especially not people - no matter where they come from. This is perhaps what I mean by her naïvety - she is stubborn in her refusal to accept that killing someone could ever be necessary. She is much happier to debate and talk things out to try and get to a peaceful resolution. As time goes by I hope to corrupt her innocence into realising that this is never going to happen. But that is for the future.

Hidden under all this youth however is a very acute mind, and Iola is a skilled Astrologer and Influencer. So whilst first impressions might make her look like a snugglelovebunny (which she isn't, actually. Sure she'll hug people but only her family and very close friends. She'd never snuggle, for example, Accalia) - she's actually an intelligent young woman that just has a LOT of life experience to get. It will take some time, as she is a spoilt brat who basically trots about after her father (Tael), but she's also a hard worker.

I shifted from Raistlin to Jarlaxle type personalities.

QUOTE
(In reference to a halfling's shocked reaction after casting a detect magic spell and scanning Jarlaxle.)
-Entreri: "You are lucky you did not strike him blind."
-Jarlaxle: "Wouldn't have been the first time."
-Entreri: "Stunning."

Also look at combat tactics. I aspire to be this character.

You'd need an endless supply of throwing daggers, first.
