Sparring Ixion, I got stuck in his pit. Wasn't a particular problem, since I could slow his offense by just whoring shield. But it was irritating that I couldn't get out. Eventually I did - as below. But can anyone explain or pass over a few tips so it doesn't take 10 goes first.

When you hit the pit, Stance Upper and Parry head 1. I wouldn't waste time shielding. Start climbing immediately or if stopped by paralysis, try to judge the climb right before he hits again, that way you focus body before it checks the exit. Also looked like his engage stopped you climbing out the first time, which happens, just not so often.

He was also working your arms, with some of the arm afflictions you had they will stop climbing, it is hard to slip past it with a BM, but do like ethelon said.

edit - forgot, there is a real quick and easy way to stop it, but it will cost you 10p

That fight makes me very very sad as a BM, I'd easily have had a double amputate, and could have just kicked him to death if i was a PB/AL, or spammed slitlocks.. *sigh*
