Influencing Angels and Demons

Most people know that you can empower your angels or demons on Celestia/Nil, and it in turn gives power to your nexus. Kinda the same deal with fae.

However, could we PLEASE make the influencing easier?

It takes me forever to influence a cherub with two types of empowering attacks, even longer for a deva. I can't even attempt seraphic angels or celestial archangels. And even when you do manage to influence them, they're terrible experience and esteem compared to other influencable things.

Could someone help this out a bit? sad.gif

Note: As far as I know, all the angels have an 'intimidating demeanor'. I don't think that's the weak deal to empowerment, but I'm not sure how that part of influencing works.

What race are you? Fae take a looong time if you're not one of the "proper" influencing races.

I was doing it as a 18 charisma faeling, but after reincarnation I'm a 16 charisma Kephera.

16 charisma should be just fine to influence anything there. What level is the character?
Furien2007-06-10 02:09:54
Currently, 55. I think. Somewhere near there!

With Ascendant effect, Lion sphere, all that I've got somewhere around 3k ego. Though I've only got two empowering attacks. I eventually get too fed up if I keep trying to influence anything tougher than a Deva. sad.gif

Boost the experience and esteem at all levels, leave the difficulty alone. That way you have an intermediate step toward high level influencing areas. People who can only do cherubs wouldn't mind if it was good experience / esteem for their level; people who can do archangels would likely find cherubs not worth the time.

Repeat for Nil and Faethorn.

(And maybe find some way to empower Supernals/Lords/Avatars?)

Influencing fae is different.
It's the commune equivalent to spikes/supplicants.

No it isn't. What are you talking about? The commune equivalent to spikes/supplicants is pixies/shadows of crow.

That too.
Gathering fae seems more significant, though.

'Brave soul' is the weak one to empowerment. See: knight guild guards.

Yes please.

As far as offering and esteem go, influencing is fine, it's nice that they added it to influencing, so you can help your god as well as yourself, just like when hunting, but I don't think it needs to be increased.

Experiance for influencing is lower/slower when compaired to clasic hack & slash, but there is also less risk.

I like my influencing as-is, don't mess it up just cause you want more benefit from it. dry.gif

Well, gathering Fae "can" be done by all four organizations.

Bah, killing them doesn't count.
Who'd kill fae, anyway?
They're so cute and fluffyful. sleep.gif

Not talking about killing them.

All four organizations can influence the fae for power.

The angels/demons are meant to be a partial counter to totems, not Fae.

Wait... so if a Magnagoran influences a brownie, how does that translate to power, exactly?

When you give it to (was it Gorgalu? Or however it's spelt) it adds power to your Nexus and an Imp is created on Nil.

I thought it was only corpses that could be used?
I know if you're from a commune, it's possible to influence the fae to let you carry them to an Avatar, but I've never heard of anything like that for Magnagora or Celest.

Because neither of them want to have both Communes angry with them at the same time (for now, at least). When the influencing change went in, it went in for all four orgs.

While I agree that the length of time it takes to sway them is tedious, it's a better situation than having a non-enemied individual seduce most of the angels/demons and set them on defenders while others raid. I've always seen it more as an effort made for the city, rather than a viable means of earning experience and esteem, though I wouldn't object if the defensive constructs for Celestia and Nil gave a small increase in experience for influencing the plane's denizens.

The same quest exists for Celestia and Nil. Raziela gives you a lock of her hair, and Gorgulu gives you something.
