What does Empower/Weaken affect?

I've always been curious about this - if you empower a mob and then kill it, will you gain more experience/gold/whatever than if you had killed the same mob when it was weakened?

The level of might of the creature doesn't seem to change, so what exactly does empower and weaken do to a mob, other than giving them bonus health (if anything)?

Currently, I see nothing in them, perhaps it is currently broken?

I think empower just pushes their hp points above max (You often see them lying down to sleep after empowering). It doesn't change the actual mob level though.. I think >_<

Weaken.. no clue. Perhaps the opposite?

Doesn't it increase/decrease the mob's level?

They raise/lower the level of the mob.

Thanks to my new Demigodness (waggle.gif) I will test!

I tried empowering and weakening a rabbit, and then found an ordinary one for comparison, and all three produced the exact same amount of essence when offered (17).

Does that mean the only thing that happens is the health increase/drop?

I wouldn't be surprised if the altered level affected only health, experience gain, and maybe damage. The essence is probably the same because the level returns to normal when it's dead.

Ah, quite possible.

If we can't judge by essence though, is it even possible to test whether anything changes other than health?

Have a demigod do it, since they see experience numerically.

EDIT: And you should check damage yourself by doing it to a moose or something and have it attack you.

I don't think I'd go off a rabbit anyway. If it's a small increase, it might easily disappear into rounding error. Best test would be to empower the biggest thing you can and compare that.
