Greetings. A small problem. Just got myself a copy of LMTS and can't get it to work properly with MUSHclient. The problem is: map window doesn't create a separate window as it should (correct?), instead it just prints the map after each my move. Any way to make it show in a separate window?

Since MUSHclient doen't have the ability to create multiple dockable windows, aside from notepad windows, you can't create a window using MAP WINDOW. It gets kinda laggy when you have a lot of triggers running at once.

That's bad. Was hoping it's just me doing something wrong. Thanks for the answer.

I'm not sure what LMTS, but I know Whyte's imapper setup works great with Mush. A few people offer the mapper, Shamarah, Zalandus(?), and Jello I believe.

Everything works just fine with LMTS, it's just inability to create a separate floating window with a map. Quite unpleasant inability.

LMTS is the Mudbot client converted to Lusternia. It uses the same base code (well, different language), so it has the client create the window, I believe. You could probably convert the LMTS to create it's own MXP window when entering MAP WINDOW.
Using it on MUSHclient is only a problem when you have a massive amount of triggers, because the LMTS is sending the mxp map to the client on every movement.

Wow, flattered you mixed up my name with somebody else's, but I haven't been on lusty in months, and I know next to nothing (really) about coding...but I'm planning to come back now! Hooray...
In fact, I was wondering...I have Ethelon's (paid) system, and I'm planning to get mudbot for sham's map. Is that a good idea? I was hoping to do that whole floating-window-for-map thing, but did I just read above that it doesn't work with mush?
Also, how does the composer (like the one from nexus) work on mush? Is there anything similar?

I'm the one whose name got mixed up. I worked on the LMTS code a while back. I've made more changes that I haven't released, but there are still bugs with things like reloading the map that I was never able to figure out and gave up on, so I don't really plan on making a new version.
AFAIK, MUSHclient doesn't support the MXP window commands, so you can't get the separate map display working in MUSHclient. This also means that the composer window won't work, either.
That's not to say that the mapper functionality is completely useless, however. I use LMTS with zMUD (together with my zMUD mapper because they both have their separate uses) and I don't use the map window for it. The speedwalking is great, and being able to scent/scry people and run there quickly or see where someone died and go grab the body is awesome.
