Looking for artists in game

My character is putting together a self-guiding tour of Magnagora in the form of a brochure, with special focus on Geomancer novices. Here's the ad:

Brief:
   Commissioning artists for novice guide

Description:
   I am seeking one or several artists. A novice guide to various
   landmarks in the city of Magnagora is being compiled. There will
   be approximately 8 illustrations and the artist(s) will be fully
   credited in the pamphlet as well as compensated for their
   efforts. The artist should be willing to be associated with the
   Engine of Transformation, being either a citizen or sympathiser.
   Both well-known, (Artisanal winning), and amateur artists are
   welcome to apply. Messages of interest should be sent to myself,
   Lenalith.

Now, I'm really just looking for names to put in the credits, as obviously I won't be able to put actual pictures in the pamphlet, (unless I link to them on the web). I would like to get at least two or three people. I realise that 250g isn't that much, but she is only an Apprentice and it's really not that much work to donate your name, right? smile.gif

Maybe have said artist submit an artistic "rendering" (description) of the landmark in question, instead? It'd replace the illustration they'd have made, and add a bit more interest, as well as giving the contributors an actual hand in the look of their work.

One major regret I have with the arts skill is that you can't paint imaginary stuff. I asked Estarra about this during the town meeting and she said that it was to prevent abuse. I wish we could be trusted more. Arix used to paint detailed "portait" insult cakes (with the piping skill) and flame them to Magnagora--we can have //that// but I can't draw three people in a nice painting.

Wish we could be trusted more. Make it a trans skill and have it cost a lot of gold to do a unique painting.

It's a good idea, Amarysse. The problem is that there's only a little bit more about the landmark that you can say, as I'm writing about them in quite a bit of detail. People are welcome to submit larger descriptions of the general areas that I'll also be mentioning, such as the Sea of Despair, though.

I'm an Apprentice in the Geomancers, and this looks pretty interesting. It's good that you're taking the time to do this without any particular initiative (unless it is for an apprentice task, or something).

I might be able to help, though I'm not that great at writing descriptions of things, or drawing.

Alright. will help. Just get me a set of descriptions of the area's. What other people say about it. I can get you a paragraph, two, fully descriptive in a day or so..

and keep the gold.. 250 gold? I can get more from rats tongue.gif
