I'm curious. Starting to think I'm the only Pagan who plays Lusternia. >>;;
So. If you're Pagan and you know it...
... please specify what type and kindly put what guild you're in.
NeoPagan Eclectic for me, though, before I went Eclectic I got my second degree as a Priestess in Gardenarian Wicca.
My char, Myrkr, is in the Moondancers!

You're a Pagan? That's SOO cool! I didn't know that! I'm not of any religion, though I was baptised for some legal reason when I was younger, but I'm not religious in the slightest. I'm thinking of converting to Budism, however
Xavius2007-06-26 19:30:16
Yes. There are. There are lots. Most live in Serenwilde. You're quite possibly so deeply in the majority there that it's not even worth mentioning.

Eh, really? I haven't found any yet.

Then you aren't looking. Beyond that, you have little place to be asking in-game.

I have asked a lot. Everyone's either like "What's a Pagan" or "That's retarded".
Xavius2007-06-26 19:46:01
...are you asking characters in the game if they're pagan?
Please tell me no. I want to be nice to the newbies.

Then thank goodness she started this thread in the Real World.
I don't really identify with anything particular anymore, Myrkr, but I do tend to fall somewhere between the NeoPagan and Old Druid religious beliefs. Never really dabbling, and always examining. In the end, I'm left with a comfortable amalgam of ideas that all fall into the same "vein," so to speak.
edit: She indeed! Sorry for the mix-up!

No, no. Argh. Like, I'll make friends with people and ask them OOC. u_u I don't ask people I don't know that well or anything like that.

Yay for Druken!
By the way, Druken, I'm a she. *Hum*
Edit: It's okay, Druken. You're like the eighth person to mix that up.

Well, asking that sort of question isn't probably a good idea in game anyway, even if you make it clear you're doing so OOCly... Some people aren't comfortable sharing personal info, and religion is personal really (unless you live in the Southern US where the first three quesitons anyone ever asks when they meet you are "What's your name? What Church do you go to? Who's your family?") IG, or going OOC in any way unless it's completely unavoidable.
Doing this, asking the general population in the clearly OOC forums is much better, you're more likely to get actual answers.

That's true...
... but I live in NYC. First three questions you're asked whoever you meet are "Where do you live? What's your ethnicity? What's your religion?"

Just out of curiosity, why would you convert to Buddhism if you aren't religious?

The great thing about Buddhism is that it can be practiced as a religion OR followed as a philosophy.
He might plan on doing the latter, and just confused the terms.

Well, there are some people who consider Buddhism to be more of a philosophy than a religion. Not sure I agree with that, personally but whatever floats your boat.

I see Buddhism as a philosophy more than a religion.
I'm an Atheist, however. To be more specific, an Existential Atheist.
Although I would like to read into Paganism, because I really don't know much of what it's about. Maybe I'm a Pagan and don't know it yet.

I walk around with a cudgel, and scream and gesticulate wildly at people walking onto our land to get out of my demesne.
Does that count?

I meant IRL Pagan, silly. Not IG.
