Auction off custom entry/exit messages.

Some sort of artifact that remotely tugs on someone's sleeve letting them know you seek their attention.

Hmm I had hoped that this would be a gold-acquired feature instead of credit-acquired, but something's better than nothing.

- Artifact to add ambient room messages to a manse or manse room (idea taken from another thread actually). Like creaking floorboards or eerie moaning in the wind, as simple examples. Not too expensive puh-lease!

I definitely like the second one. Like a captive hynx or something that can sneak through the aetherways to someone.

Centre of the Necropolis.
A chandelier of gemstones and platinum shines in its own light. Rising up from
cracks in the floor, the Megalith of Doom towers above everything here,
polluting the air with its foul fumes. The subtle flows of nature culminate in
this growing rose of blackness pulsing with divine radiance. Sitting on its
haunches, a bloodhound rests here. An obsidian eye sigil is here. A hunting
trophy bearing Draxlach's head is proudly exhibited on a nearby wall. The Keeper
of the Megalith stands here radiating a tainted presence. There are 10 Ur'Guard
Grand Marshals here. Gibbering to itself, a ghoul looks about itself here with a
malevolent gleam in its eyes. There are 10 plague lords here. Student of Earthen
Truth, Ildar y'Kada is here. He wields a twisted staff in his left hand.
Penitent Lyco d'Erlette is here. He wields a blackened tower shield with a
serrated-edge in his left hand.
You see exits leading north, east, south, and west.

A minuscule tear opens in the fabric of creation above Lyco's head and a tiny hynx pops
out, screaming that Forren requires his attention.

A tiny hynx leaps back into the tear, shrieking with urgency just as it reseals itself.

I was thinking more of an echoed tug on the shoulder listing the name.. but that sounds cool too!

How about some ideas for neat utility/rp artifacts that are extra special (i.e., auction only)?

A ledger or tablet that allows the user to write on books or write newsposts from anywhere.
I'd recommend this for the auction IF guild admins are not getting special artifacts

1) RP artifact that allows one to erect a Tent (or some other portable living space). It would be for roleplay purposes, so it would not need to replace the tent skill given to trackers. (Tent Revivals in the Skartch!)

Perhaps we can customise our portable living space amongst various types, say; Tent, Shanty, etc etc. Then perhaps we can buy items from artisans to put in out portable living space, but not everything, like, no bookcase, but we could have pillows and a short table and a chest. Perchance we could also set the description of our portable tent like structure? While not a replacement for a manse, it would be nice to have a portable thing to erect when we go out someplace, just for RP value. Imagine a merchant selling wares, or bards setting up a traveling troupe! Or a certain un-named Celestine erecting a tent from which to preach from which would surely never ever happen! THE POSSIBILITIES AND LEVELS OF COOL ARE ENDLESS WITH THIS AWESOME NEW ARTIE!

2) I would love to have a notebook, where in which I could store things written on pages. By the sheer magical nature of this enchanted tome, I could print an unlimited number of 1 page pamphlets, or signs, from the information on a page. (Maybe something like 3 magically reprinted pamphlets per 1 wood com or something?) Since there isn't really an economical way to mass distribute pamphlets or make nifty little signs, I think something like this would be useful for those who want to roleplay the old school spreading of information. Going along with my idea for using flax comms to make sticky pamphlets, perhaps you could use 1 wood and one flax, to make a certain amount of, say, 1000 character limited documents that could be stuck on things like statues, or in places to advertise things like events, in a nice roleplay way.

3) Less RP and more utility, but what if Tarot users could sacrifice their ability to carry a billion decks, (and part with a few creds) to get an enchanted card deck, which holds a limited number of cards (maybe slightly higher than the current deck limit?). The trade-off would be that with this deck you would only ever be able to have just this one deck. Such a magical deck must surely be a gift from above for it allows one to store hermit cards for a short time after rubbed (maybe like 3 months?)

4) What if there was a magical artifact, that allowed something racially to be roleplayed? Mount Zoaka is the Dracnari Holy Land. It is believed by some that this is where Lord Dracnoris still slumbers even today. What if there was a charm that could be purchased and affixed to some jewelery, that allowed Dracnari transport to the Holy Land? What if this idea were expanded to include say, the Nomads, and the gateway to Gaudiguch? This idea could be expanded to other races as well, such as the Lucidians or other races with vested interest in an area?

5) At the risk of gimping myself, I think artifacts that could be folded into a player's spark would be cool. An example? Simimi was raised in Celest her entire life, and speaks fluent Merian. Her Merian, being much better than her Dracnarian, in both the written and spoken form. What if there was an artifact to replicate this fact (though I am a bookbinder anyway). What if there was an orb, which when consumed, taught someone a single language. Only one could ever be used, and the effect could not be undone. It would not terribly gimp bookbinders (maybe give then +1 language or something if it is so bad for them? I do not see it being an issue... except that I have Merian as a bookbinder >_<) and it would help foster languages as a tool of roleplay in Lusternia proper.

6) I always run into a deli ma when I think of leveling. I would love to grind to 99 or 100, but I do not want to 'not be a Dracnari for it' What if there was an artifact (I'm just going to use the me as a Dracnari example) that allowed me to do something (emphasis on SOMETHING) like this. I reach 99, or 99 and 50% or 100, whatever is deemed acceptable. I am now able to buy this artie like... "Dracnoris' Blessing of Slumber". By using this artifact, it does a few things (again just examples). Let us say in my example, I reach 99 or 100, whatever is deemed acceptable. Drawing upon the power of my Dracnari ancestors, this artifact gives me the blessing of Dracnoris, father of us all. By consuming the blessing of slumber I am sent into a deep sleep beneath Mount Zoaka (thus unable to log in for... whatever time is deemed worthy). When I am allowed to reawaken, my body has been changed by the magics within the mountain. I have been returned to a lower circle of experience for the ancient magics have surely ravaged my body! (I always pictured this as maybe 30th level) With great power comes great responsibility, I am now permanently level capped at 98, never gain to taste of the powers of acension as I so shrugged them off for my mortal form.

It would be cool if this had some other effects, perhaps something like;
Simimi Rakona (Female Puritan Dracnari ) Or some other racially interesting adjective. I'm not sure what other things this could do aside from having a roleplay value. Perhaps a stat or balance adjustment (I don't know, -dex and +cha, something not game breaking but something?). I think it would need to affect something else a little for people to be interested, but I would do it just for the slumber and rebirth RP value, that would be awesome. The perma 98 cap would be cool too, to really enforce that the decision was one not to be taken lightly.

I really think that sort of purely racial roleplay artie would be really bring something truely unique to Lusternia as a realm for the idea of roleplaying one's race. We already have changelings who can become any race, why not those of us who wish to remain can permanently find refuge within our race. Usage of the artie would make race change daggers nullified, as well as remove ones free reincarnation, if they had not used it.

Why shouldn't anyone have a fair chance at roleplay artifacts that do not impact combat?

Might as well wait for them to be released rather than be impatient and get them on auctions (and possibly paying a higher price.)

Well, I don't know all the artifacts available, but still some ideas

Special marriage items could be nice, for example:
Ring of bonding: Once put on it will be automatically be attuned to the person you are married with.
The ring can never be removed, once put on.
By looking at the gem of the ring, you can see the current state of that person. The gem becomes red when that person is very hurt, black when dead, blue when away from the realm.
Speaking into the ring will work like a tell, except that people around you see you talking into the ring.
Cost of power to teleport to your love will be reduced to zero, and maybe the same to tesseract...

If a regular artifact, then the artifact will automatically be destroyed when the marriage ends, and you will get back half the cost of buying it in credits.
If an auction artifact, then the auction should be two of those rings...


A fruit tree could be nice for some guilds. Once planted it cannot be removed. Every day, around 70% chance that a piece of fruit will be dropped. (Depending on the current month? ) And the fruit will have a decay time of 6 days. So you will have a tree with some fruit laying under it, most of the time, which I think would look nice.


Is it possible to play card games, outside of the blackjack casino? If not, then a deck of regular cards could be nice. But implementing all the commands needed to play most different card games against each other could be hard.

jump-man lets you jump into the air for a few moments like the wings except you need a levitation potion or -splat- way lower amount of credits then wings and such

water way. manse artifact makes you -have- to swim into a room. think super awsome ocean view?

hidden room? manse artifact making it so when you -dig- in a specific room you go into another room?

disco ball makes everyone in the room disco or fun alternitive.

living flame- lets you get the will power regen anywhere you want that a normal campfire provides.

-the chair- only you can sit in your chair!? muhahaha

bank gnome lets you use the bank from anywhere

carrier pidgen lets you mail from anywhere.

folding desk? lets you write anyting anywhere.

teh feed bag. -never have to feed your horse again.

I would like an artifact that allows me to comprehend all spoken languages (save for the Divine one). An artifact, or way to learn, to speak another language could be fun, too.

1) An artifact rune that when attached to a piece of jewelry allows it to be enchanted with more than one enchantment.
For example:

p brooch

It is enchanted with 30 charges of waterwalk.
It is enchanted with 20 charges of kindgom.

Then you could 'rub ' to activate.

Could be stackable too so if I attached 5 of those runes to one brooch the brooch could hold 6 different enchantments ( 5 from runes + 1 initially).

Would perhaps make me feel less like a x-mas tree with all my enchanted jewelry!

2) An artifact that allows poisons to be put into kegs and sold as keg refills. Please please please please! I feel for all warriors that aren't poisonists and their -huge- collection of empty, nearly-new vials.

3) An artifact that could be attached to certain tailoring items and would make it possible to store items in them. Perhaps only 5-10 max but I've always wanted to put stuff into my robes. The artifact could reset to the owners inventory after the tailoring item decays (or make that item permanent, whatever).
