Every succesful franchise has a TCG, so I'm not surprised.
After reading the rules, I found the mechanics a bit similiar to Magic, but with enough unique rules to make it an entirely different game and to enhance a Bleach-like feel too.
So, because it's Bleach, there aren't any group battles, all fights between monsters, pardon me, characters are one on one. And of course, most cards and basically all characters are unique.
Moreover, the ability to turn any card into a temporary "combat booster" suits well with Bleach's theme of supporting each other, while different methods of attacking (which are unblockable if the other player doesn't have characters with the same way of attacking!) not only promote varied decks and interesting tactics, but also plays along the theme of respecting other people's differences and not looking down on them just because they're, for example, not good in something you are good in (an often reaccuring motive in the anime).
Okay, I'm probably reading too much into this.
I won't play the game, as the only TCG I am interested in is WoW TCG (and that only because I got two decks in Burning Crusade's collector's edition box - yes, I am geek enough to buy that). But if I would, I'd definately play Kon, just to see the other player's look when he has to fight against (or even worse, has his arse kicked by) Kon.
