So bards can stun..and hit for 1.2k before stun wears off? I don't think they should be able to undeaf and stun in the same attack. I've been noticing some crazy stun times lately...is it just me? I could be wrong.

Anyways...advice? Opinions? other than get more health.

They'll be nerfed, eventually. And 1.2k? That's pretty tame. Incredibly so, infact, try fighting a cantor - unless Arawaen is one. Suicided or namechanged, so I don't know. If you're really that fussed about it, go and fight a monk who is just repeating a grapple kata over and over. Then you'll see obscene.

I can out hinder monks. Took time but I've learned to fight around them. Bards? No matter how many I fight...the stun always gets me in the end.

The damage that is being pushed out from that bard seems so unnecessary unless you were afflicted with sensitivity or something. Transfix mixed with the afflictions seems just a bit much with 1200 a hit. Maybe Im missing something though.

Although, I don't think ARawaen deserves full credit, being Vathael and also attempting to muck up Palisade right there (See the aeon illusion near stupidity? Yeah.)

What is your skill in Magic? Do you have magic-proofing? Do you have any magic defenses?

Inept, resistance. Magic is pretty far down most peoples lists. But, to be honest, 210 damage less is still like fighting a Geomancer that's a hell of a lot faster and with nastier afflictions.

Yes. It makes me feel cool to display a fairly common peice of knowledge to display someone has combat skill. N omatter how you disguise it with language, the purpose of this thread was to complain. Stun wouldn't be a problem (although I'm given to understand that it's there along with damage because of earwort and truehearing) if they didn't have a very long writhe time afflict, like transfix. 1.2k is pretty standard for bards, and there are ways to get around the stun.

i think the stun was bad because of the race you picked faelings have bad stun if i remember..

also it isnt to nice to tell somones alt unless they tell you its ok. editing it would be nice with a slight sorry.

Yes, bard damage is a problem. Bards also have some nasty room effects, like malestrom and octave. Don't fight in those rooms.

You'll have to excuse me. When someone sets out to manipulate a system like that, I have no real desire to keep anything a secret. I could be wrong, but I doubt it. And I'm almost completely sure that stun from a bard is exactly the same regardless of size, although I'm not sure - I haven't noticed much difference from when I was a mugwump and now.

Edit: I was wrong, it's apparently fairly random.

Uhh... crashing systems is kind of, you know, the whole point of illusions. I don't see anything wrong with using an illusion that you know a popular system is vulnerable to.
