Hi! As said I just moved in from Achaea, and I kinda need some help. Firstly, would anyone be so kind as to explain a few of the differences and what I will need to know?
Also, I think I'll need help picking a class (Guilds here I think). I would like my character to be a pacifist and nuetral aligned. The only class(es) I didn't have fun playing from Achaea were knights if that helps any. Any and all help would be great!

Edited- Color removed. Sorry for those of you who didn't like it.

First of all, please change your font color. That's just painful to look at. Second of all, Lusternia is all about organizations and guilds, so rogues will have a really hard time. To join a guild, you need to pick an organization (Magnagora, Serenwilde, Glomdoring, or Celest).then you pick a guild (you said no knights) within said org. I'll leave it to someone who wants to explain further to do so

Why does everytime someone comes from another IRE game, they post in a wierd color?
Any to answer your question, reading around on the website will tell you pretty much all you need to know about the organizations. If you want information concerning skills and such in particular, check out this site: ScryingPool
Enjoy your time here, and pretend you never heard the word "pink".

Honestly, my best advice is to first look through the helps for each city and commune. Narrow it down to one. Once you have, it's much easier to pick a guild.

A pacifist can live anywhere and be any class since we have the wonderful influencing system.
However you will not want to pick magnagora.
Your choices then are Celest (The bipolar city) or Serenwilde (The forest with the snugglies) or Glomdoring (The forest with the emos)

With so many different skins on the forums, its best to stick to the default color, so it doesn't clash with a skin you arn't aware of.

I agree with everything here...just really depends on what flavor you are looking for. All good choices, all will cater to your needs on some level. Perhaps look for a class that has the Healing secondary, as that may give you some wider RP options

It's not really feasible to be "neutral-aligned", as I understand Cyrene is, for example. The four organisations are grouped in two different groups of two (communes vs. cities, and taint/wyrd vs. not), and they all have their own agendas. The only way to completely opt out of this over-arching conflict is to be a rogue, which tends to be a very difficult option.
Having said that, it's my understanding that the Serenwilde/Glomdoring conflict is much less full-on than the New Celest/Magnagora conflict.

Thanks for all the answers so far! I guess I don't really wish to be a rogue, that really doesn't seem to be that fun with the guild system. I guess I'll end up going with either Serenwilde or Glomdoring. Any ideas for guilds?

well, Shadowdancers are a solid choice
Just depends on what class you are wanting.
the classes are much different than what you are use to. Druid over there was so-so...over here it is quite a powerful class. Same with bards. I really think you need to look over everything, get an idea as to what you want out of the experience, and then come and ask what everyone's thoughts are between A,B, and C instead of us creating a character for you

My first character (many years ago now) in Achaea was a knight, and I just didn't enjoy it. I've been a warrior here since day one, and I still enjoy it very much. So... don't discount an archetype based on previous experience with a similar one in another game (as Nadjia said).
If you don't plan on buying credits, warrior would be difficult for you, anyway, with all the equipment you need to purchase and skills you have to learn. I'd recommend Moondancer, just based on the glimpse of your personality from reading your posts here, though it would help if you gave clues as to what style of play you're most interested in.

Well, I prefer RP over PK, and I love abilities that give pets (even if they are mainly for PK). I liked the Sylvan and Occultist classes from Achaea (if that helps at all).

then Wicca (Moondancer/Shadowdancer) for sure.....you get fae and lots of them...and their play style is close to Sylvan and Occultist wrapped into one nice package. More so than other classes.

Ooh, Haruhi Suzumiya avatar!
Y HELLO THAR.
On-topic. Wiccan (Shadow/Moondancer) would fit you best then. Lots of entourage, easy PvE, good PvP if you take Hexes (I know you're not interested, but you might want to know).
Remember that as a Wiccan, your first skill will always be Nature/Wicca, second Totems/Moon or Totems/Night (dependant on guild), but for third you have a choice:
Hexes: the ultimate PvP choice
Healing: good for PvP for Shadowdancers, not so much for Moondancers, but it's still much better than it used to be. Passive affliction-curing auras are still nice though.
Astrology: rather difficult to explain in words, but it's not that overcomplicated of a skill. Basically, you use rays/spheres that either deal afflictions or affect stats (actual stats like INT, or sub-stats like cold resistance) - how good they work or what affliction they deal, it's dependant on current positions of Lusternian planets.

If you're a pacifist stay out of my city
Unknown2007-08-24 03:08:39
Oh yeah, I missed the pacifist part.
In that case, important advice: you can be one, but don't be a flaming pacifist: the kind of person who explicitly shuns others from their org who fight, and who proudly exclaims "I'm a pacifist, I won't come to help!" when people defend/ask for help at defending. Feel free not to come, just don't say stuff like that. Also arguing that "why can't we just get along?" (with the other org) or accusing other people from your org of "starting it all" are nothing but recipies for trouble.
Basically, be reasonable. No need to hide being a pacifist/non-fighter, be open about it. Just don't throw it into other people's faces - I saw it one time too many. It ain't nice and it ain't pretty.

Hello there!
I'll throw in my two cents, I suppose...
Seeing as you want pets, prefer PvE over PvP, and you're a pacifist, I'd go with Moondancers. However, Aquamancers are cool too, because you eventually summon a Dragon Turtle, and they kick :censored:! Anyways, Moondancers have a relatively peaceful nature about them anyways. They're in touch with the Nature Spirit Moon, and they do all sorts of rituals and the like concerning Fae (your pets that you summon when you're a Wiccan) and Mother Moon, and all that stuff. They're pretty fun, and there's ALWAYS someone around!
However, I cannot give you the cool things on the Shadowdancers, as I've never been one before!
EDIT: Oh, also. Watch out for Murphy in Lusternia itself. Never hug him. Ever. Period. However, in the forums, he's pretty cool!
