Essence is basically experience points. Demigods, since they don't track experience, but their essence into numerical form rather than percent based on levels.

it might be accurate for points, but you will never know how many xp points a creature is worth. You can however, from demigods, figure out how much essence things are worth, and how many of those creatures you need to get levels.
So essence figures are more reliable for lusternia than exp figures. (for pratical purposes)

Just looking at the last few levels, it's not even proportionally accurate to essence.

Demigod essence isn't the same as shrine essence. Shrine essence has only a vague correlation to xp. They're usually off by whole orders of magnitude, though.

I'm talking about the essence you gain when you bash. Everyone's experience level is based off of their essence count. I don't know why you're talking about shrine essence.

It was considerably increased here while Aesyra was going for it, which might account for the difference.
