Oh, on another note...

Yes, those reflexes aren't doing you any favors. Ouch.

Besides the reflexes, it didn't seem like you had a clear goal offensively. You started with staff just to irritate him, then switched to telepathy off-and-on, then used staff some more. You should figure out a clear goal to work toward as you're fighting. I don't know what race Bali is, but it doesn't seem to be an amazing race for warriors. The damage isn't horribly high, and you had him eating sparklies just by using blast...usually against warriors, your best bet is to try to keep them hindered (paralyse/stupidity like you were using is a good combo) and drain their ego for mindburst if you have it. If you don't have mindburst, you have to damage them out, which requires slowing down their curing. You can still do it (sometimes) using mindblast, but you have to throw in things like addiction/etc more often to keep them from just outpacing your damage.

On the other hand, you could try without telepathy altogether. Some of the new illusions work pretty well to slow him down along with your demesne. Phantoms/claw/etc. can be used pretty effectively along with staff to do a pretty good bit of damage.

And Bali, were you using any poisons at all?

If you can't be bothered to at least fix your rewield triggers to exclude things you don't have, most of my suggestions aren't going to be too useful for you

Time your demesne, reject when love potion fires, make sure you have him dissolved, and consider using illusions with your telepathy combos.

As a Geo the key thing I always did, and that anyone should do, is to time your demesne. Set lodestones and rockslide to go off 2 seconds after your tremor when setting up demesne, that way they take a lot more passive damage. Also, I know it sounds stupid, but use your wyrm! The wyrm attacking is another passive 2-300 damage per round or so, every bit of damage counts as Alger once told me. If you can just keep them rejected and enemied and your wyrm attacking I would just whore telepathy (reckless especially) and mindblast, eventually they're gonna run out of health or fall below half-ego.

Oh yeah, and keep up a phantoms and illusionary wounds too, that really up healing I think, and yet again is more passive damage.

Someone posted once that all a modern Geo needs to win a fight is:

Now that we have Phantasms, though, you can whore Claws too, which is more extra bleeding damage!

That's not quite true. It used to work for demigod geos (Kaervas comes to mind), but not so much any geos I know now. You can use that to kill at very low levels, but you're not going to get through competent fighters that way. I wasn't an amazing fighter as a geo, but I wouldn't recommend using staff that much. Give claws/phantom/whatever else, then use psionic balance (you ARE a telepath, right? If not, you shouldn't be fighting). Spam illusions, afflictions, and mindblast/vampirism until you can burst. The claws/phantom will add in a few other nice afflictions and help drain their health so they can't sip bromides as much.

yeah...don't know who told you that works, but it doesn't. Low health opponents, sure. But you can mindblast to death too. Aquas can get away with it better than geos can.

Telepathy can be devastating if you use it right. I'm still working on getting it to work for me Working with phantasms...whispers when they blackout, stick phobia/amplifyphobia blah blah blah. Far more than staff staff staff.

In that case, Blast (100% Fire) was probably hitting for more than staff.

I'm at work and I admit I didn't read every line, but I skimmed it and didn't see you dissolve once, so half your demesne effects weren't hitting. As they said, you need to time you're demesne so everything hits at once and is a little harder to heal.

Also, you need to learn some combat skill in game and learn to parry arms, cause if you can do that, you would have probably parried at least a few of those blasts to your arm that were screwing you up.

Also, type wounds and use the different lines of the head and arms and stuff to trigger wound healing.

That way he isn't blasting you so hard just cause your arms are heavy or critically wounded.

And now I'm not surprised you drop so quick when I attack you, you don't heal wounds at all.

That oughta change hopefully. I've just upgraded from Ethelon's free system to his full system. I've also got my demesne on a timer. The combat part will have to come in the future, as i don't have the resources, especially with the upcoming switch to monk.
