Wanted to see how my system held up against a glamours bard spamming stuff out of octave. I diagnosed once or twice and dispelled rainbowpattern, but that's about it.

Obviously you wanna fix the kombu loop, and while I think the damage needs to be toned down, an un-hindered opponent should be able to take you down eventually.

Wasn't a kombu loop - was a failsafe that triggered after herb balance -should- have been back. Eating while off balance every one or two seconds isn't going to hurt me. Daedalion was using a song that slowed herb balance, making the already herb-balance-heavy Glamours harder to cure.

Anyways, the bard affs should probably go up higher in the priority queue. Dementia is a much milder affliction than manabarbs or egovice.
Otherwise, for just standing there and taking it, that's pretty impressive.

I'd skip the failsafes for paralysis, transfix, etc and stop doing the stand thing (if it is a failsafe).
Also, you didn't cure recklessness given to you by the maelstrom. It's as if you didn't pick up on the multiple colors in the message. Is there a failsafe for things that should damage you but your health, mana, ego come out at their max values?

I noticed the dementia thing before I posted the log, and I'll be correcting that shortly.

It was catching recklessness every time - however, I don't think I reset my priorities before this fight (I choanged them before in the priority generator to make it higher) so it was curing other things. The system did know I had it.

Whenever I'm trying to manually put up faeleaf from some damn noob bard transfixwhoring me, and my primitive stupidity triggers fire, it wastes another couple seconds on the herb balance so I get wrecked just a bit harder.

Manabarbs and egovice were lower than they should have been on my priority queue. I've bumped them up.
As for the eating problem - it turns out Cmud for some reason wasn't compiling my You Eat trigger, so the balance was never lost properly. It just kept eating.

First off any class has the ability to kill anybody with just curing. In a real fight if Forren were fighting back with his hindering Daedalion wouldn't have gotten as close to that. But this log does prove one thing, bards afflict very, very fast and have insane damage potential.

I agree. Last time I actually fought Daedalion, he died within the first fifteen seconds, so I'm not trying to say he's overpowered. However, bards do possess a great afflicting and damage potential. The two issues I still have with bards are the stun and afterimage.

I imagine you got the first hit in. Last time I fought him, he ran whenever he didn't get me stun-locked, then finally killed me when he did.
Sure, it's good strategy on his part, but still - stun locks should not be possible.
