How best to spend my credits?

I have 250 credits to spend. I'm not really sure what to do with them.

My current skills:

CODE
Common Skills         Rank           Pool
-------------         ------------   ------------
Combat                Expert         Melee
Resilience            Expert         Fitness
Discernment           Expert         Intellect
Magic                 Apprentice     Arcana
Planar                Transcendent   Mysticism
Discipline            Fabled         Willpower
Environment           Expert         Communion
Influence             Gifted         Magnetism
Riding                Inept          Magnetism
Arts                  Novice         Finearts
Highmagic             Capable        Arcana
Aethercraft           Novice         Mysticism
Dramatics             Inept          Performance

Guild Skills          Rank           Pool
-------------         ------------   ------------
Kata                  Transcendent   Melee
  Shofangi
Psionics              Transcendent   Intellect
  Psychometabolism
Harmony               Fabled         Communion

I'm not very interested in PvP, so I'd prefer to use these credits toward a goal that has some bashing, escape, or other non-PvP utility.

So far, a few possibilities have been suggested to me:

- Transcend resilence, or
- Keep saving and eventually buy a Rune of Absorption, or
- Forgot psychometabolism and trans acrobatics instead, since it is allegedly better for bashing and defense than psychometabolism.

And I'm looking for some further advice. Do any of the above choices sound good? Are there other options I should consider?

I would trans resilience before buying an artifact to help with bashing. Don't know about psymet vs acro.
Asmoth2007-10-17 06:36:57
Yeah Resilience is one of the last skills I transed and I can't imaging having to play a character without it now. It's like night and day... Trans Resilience.
Rika2007-10-17 06:59:55
How much is physical reduction is resilience at trans?
Asmoth2007-10-17 07:15:01
I don't know exactly, but it seems to reduce wounding from knights, it definately is awesome to shrug like 1/4 of the poisons I'm hit with and it makes mobs with physical attacks hurt a LOT less. Resilience basically blew until I hit trans.
Simimi2007-10-17 07:17:02
Yea trans Resilience is wonderful. It was the first thing I think I transed (or at the same time as Planar, followed by Bookbinding). I recommend it, especially for bashing, as it helps a lot a lot and the effect is definitely very noticeable.
Rika2007-10-17 07:36:00
I'm basically wondering the same things as Arundor. Trans resilience or buy a rune of absorption.
Shiri2007-10-17 07:40:29
Acro and psymet are pretty similar for bashing so far as I can tell. Between DMP and harmony the defs in psymet aren't significantly better than acro's flat rate from dodging, and enhancement is mimiced by some acro skill that adds +2 dex weight.

And I think resilience is probably better than a RoA. Need to finish transing that sometime.
Eldanien2007-10-17 08:15:07
Trans Resilience comes out to -25% damage, or so is said in other threads. Supposedly -15% according to some official statement or another, but in practice maths out to -25%.
Rika2007-10-17 08:42:58
Hrm, RoA is 15% chance of total negating of physical damage. Seems like trans resilience ends up being better then.
Shiri2007-10-17 09:18:36
RoA can also be really streaky, which won't help you at all if a couple bulls decide to gank you with that crit attack at the same time. Flat reduction is better.
Unknown2007-10-17 09:29:27
Trans resilience also saves you gold in the long run when you're bashing heavy afflicting mobs. Not to mention the PvP bonus when you're inevitably jumped while bashing.
Unknown2007-10-17 10:25:14
Definitely, trans resilience >> RoA.

There's no flat rate. You have a chance to partially dodge an attack in pve, which if it triggers gives you 15% dmg reduction regardless of type. It's much like RoA in this regard.

Psymet has -slightly- better physical defences and some elemental ones compared to acrobatics for pve. But for pvp acrobatics seems better overall...
Shiri2007-10-17 10:29:26
Oh, ok, I just misunderstood it then. Seems like psymet would be better in that case against non-physical things. (Acro has a % rate physical reduction from elasticity or something right?)
Callus2007-10-17 13:43:29
Trans Resilience is supposedly 25% reduction of damage, which is yum, and a 50% chance of shrugging off poisons. Which is yummier.
Asmoth2007-10-17 17:09:52
Trans resilience should be a goal of you whether you're a pker or straight basher, cause it works against the poisons of some critters and makes their physical attacks hurt a hell of a lot less!

Magic is supposedly the magic protection side of Resilience, and trans magic is supposed to be the magical side of damage reduction, though I haven't transed it yet, so I don't know. All I can hope is that transing magic will make bards minorsecond hurt a crap load less!
Unknown2007-10-17 18:29:26
Transcendant Resilience, and then Acrobatics. Transcend Resilience to maximize your Dodging-chance.

Amen to that....

Now I need to go trans those. Bweheh.... I seem to get stuck at virtuoso on most things 'cause the lesson curve is silly steep from there up.
