I hate starting a whole thread for one lil question, but someone else might have one lil question and they can use it when I'm done.
My question: I can't remember and I'm only 85% sure, so I need to double check that I'm right, but you can't make an Aqua demesne on Earth or a Geo on Water, right? Also, can you make a forest demesne on either one? What about a Aqua or Geo demesne on Ethereal? I think I know the answers, but I'm probably wrong!

Thank you! I'm glad I asked, cause I was only half right and it would have made my essay stupid having a mistake like that!
Alright, anyone else have one silly question they don't wanna start a whole thread for, have at it!
Xavius2007-10-30 16:31:34
How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

And I'd say as much as it could, it would.

For the record, if you are unable to demesne a given place, you are also unable to break a demesne in that place. There was a misconception about this going around awhile back, but that is how it was when I was a mage. It could have been ninja fixed since then - I hope so, it always irritated me.

It was not ninja fixed.
It was very publicly fixed.
Xavius2007-10-30 17:21:27
There was a very public fix to most of the world and a ninja fix for the bug that affected Faethorn only.

Xavius got it right. The public fix did not actually work like it was supposed to. Faethorn was where I noticed a problem, I just assumed it applied everywhere else as well. After the very public fix, it was still impossible as a mage to break melds in Faethorn. I'm glad to hear that was fixed as well, though.

I don't like asking questions on details like this. If I don't know something, I prefer to find the answer myself in-game or by searching the forum. If I can't find it, I usually find it better not to know than to ask and receive a possibly untrue answer.
I'm not trolling anything here, maybe except myself.

I'm not saying they would deliberately lie, but rather that they treat a commonly-acknowledged but wrong opinion as a fact. Happened several times before.
I'm just extra-cranky now. Funny since I was hyper and friendly just a hour ago.

Hopefully it's deemed alright to ask a different lil' question as Noola was given an answer.
Aetherships - should there be furniture on one, and the ship explodes/implodes/dies/ceases to exist until it reforms at a/the dock, does the furniture return as well, or is it gone?
Xavius2007-10-31 06:05:20
Same deal.
When the ship imploded, it used to leave random bits of furniture lying about in aetherspace. There was an announce saying that that particular problem was fixed. Now, honestly, I don't know if the fix worked, but I don't see furniture scattered about anymore.

That only makes sense if you read it out loud and don't pay attention to the letters.
Fixed!
