Nexus is easier... Just look above the compass for the vote link.

There's a button in Nexus on top of the compass that you can click!

I think the ILua mapping system has a built-in voter module. Or is that MudBot?
hmmm...
hmmm...
Unknown2007-11-13 13:09:23
MudBot is the base system (the executable). ILua, IMap (or LMap), and Vote are all separate plugins for MudBot. I don't know if anyone ever bothered to adapt the Vote plugin for use with Lusternia.

I ported the Vote module over to Lusternia. Search these boards and/or check LMTS project page for it, it should be there somewhere.
Arvont2007-11-13 14:30:42
yes, Voter Module exists Lusternia-style. I use it.
Malarious2007-11-13 16:54:46
someone post a link so we haev easy voting at our fingertips!
Eldanien2007-11-13 20:49:13
If you downloaded LMTS rather than IMTS, then the voter module you have loaded should be for Lusternia. Type 'vote' to try it out. If you get:
then you have the right vote module.
then you have the right vote module.

You are an amazing person. I wondered who changed that over for us; I love just having to type 'vote' and being done. It also doesn't interfere with anything you're doing (besides a bit of spam). Everyone go get it and use it!

Thank you. Always good to hear ones work is appreciated, allthough I did it mostly because I'm lazy myself when it comes to voting.

This is an old topic, but you should know, if you are voting for Lusternia, that the Voter module for mudbot doesn't have its vote counted somehow. The proposed reasons for this vary, but it is most likely something set up by the websites to prevent cheating. You should vote through the website, or use the voting websites directly.
Unknown2007-12-10 00:47:22
Just curious, but how do you know that MudBot's votes don't count?
Unknown2007-12-10 00:55:45
The creator of Mudbot, and admin from other IRE muds have said so, and it has been verified by people who have used it, as well. Unless something has changed very recently that I haven't seen, then this should still be the case.

Are you positive it does not count? The numbers do not update immediately, even if you go through the website (I've checked this myself), so it's pretty hard to tell whether or not it's counted, and very easy to say, "Hey, it's not counted! Curse thee, MudBot!" (even by people who have created it).
Eldanien2007-12-10 02:05:30
If Andrei (Whyte) has stated it doesn't count, I'd tend to trust him. He's pretty sharp.

Alright, it took me forever to find it, but I remember this post better than anything. Naturally, it's on the Imperian forums, and here's a link: http://forums.imperian.com/index.php?showtopic=7092&st=0
I actually like Lusternia, and if most of you use the mudbot voter and Lusternia is still as high as it is.. it could be much higher!

So for the meantime, please do not be LAZY and vote the old fashioned way. At least until we confirm about Voter Module.
Unknown2007-12-10 11:58:42
Yeah. They probably just have XSS checks in their code, to make sure the form is posted properly, and MudBot is just missing something small. Looking at the code, though, I can't even tell what identifier it uses for itself when connecting. Seems that it skips that part of the header completely.
