I'm going to be in Israel for a month, starting December 23. Are there any Lusternians who live in Israel?
Ildaudid2007-12-10 07:16:59
Yeah there is one who lives there. He is in the army so not sure if he is around alot. Also I am having a brainfart. But if you want I can PM you the name or something. (When I can remember it)
Xavius2007-12-10 07:54:18
Narses and Cairam, if you remember them, live in Israel. They met on Lusty, then Cairam left her home country (I think the US, but I'm not entirely positive) and went to live with Narses shortly after Narses finished his military duty.

Then they both stopped playing.
Ildaudid2007-12-10 07:58:43
Thats the name, I shoulda known a Kalas tongue.gif

Yes and after Cairam went to Israel, we haven't heard a word. I really hope things are ok. I mean with all the crap going on there.
Xavius2007-12-10 08:02:31
Narses also hasn't used his old AIM account since then. I never had Cairam's. So, yeah. Couldn't tell you how to find either.
Forren2007-12-10 16:14:44
I was hoping they'd somehow find this thread - I used to talk to Narses on AIM but have not seen him in months on there.
Unknown2007-12-10 16:53:37
Last I heard, I think Narses and Cairam separated. Yeah, Narses inexplicably hasn't signed on AIM for quite some time (:/), but he had been out of the military for a while, at least. He had a BT character not too long ago, who then switched over to Mag (or something), but I don't remember the name so I can't be sure if he's still active or not.

Deas (I think that's his character) lives/d in Israel, too. He's in IRC as grayman from time to time.
Arix2007-12-10 18:03:05
Deas is Narses? Yeah, I saw him about three days ago on IRC

Actually, I think that he was talking about Deas as being a different person. That's what I get from the 'too' part anyway. But I coulda read it wrong. smile.gif

You're right. I don't know how Arix read it any other way...

Ah, never got his sn. He's probably on that more than IRC.
Daganev2007-12-11 02:43:47
I wished I lived in Israel, does that count? tongue.gif
Ildaudid2007-12-11 04:04:06
Why would anyone want to wish to live in a place with such turmoil at this point in time? And why the hell would you be going to Israel Forren?? You have to do that trip to Mecca or something so you stopping in Israel on the way??

Someone should brush up on their world religions. I don't think I'd be even allowed in the city of Mecca.

Israel, believe it or not, is pretty safe at the moment. The security wall built has stopped the suicide bombers from crossing over the border. There are security guards everywhere. I feel safer there than the United States.
Ildaudid2007-12-11 04:57:28
Oh yea I forgot, I get the big black block mixed up with that wall/stone thing people go to kiss in Jeruselam(sp).

As long as it is safe man, I coulda sword they have some creepy missles they were launching into Israel a month or two ago.

I mean if I was with a Mussad(sp) female in Israel I would feel safe, yet a little nervous and aroused tongue.gif

(sp) = is cus I forget or dont know how to spell or use grAmmEr

Stop taking what the media says for granted, and start thinking about it yourself.
Israel is not as bad as everyone thinks (disclaimer: as long as you stay away from conflict areas, like around Gaza and other Palestinien areas).
The number of bomber attacks drasticly reduced over the last few years, and their effect as well - either that or we became more apathetic to it.
But seriously, you got higher chance of getting killed in a car accident then by a bomber attack.

Every week we hear of someone going nuts in the US and starting to shoot all over.
Every few months the minorities, just outside Paris, starts riots.
Right now, Israel is just as bad as any other place.

@Forren - Not sure what you plan on doing here, but there are some great places to visit here. If you want to talk some more, feel free to PM me.
Unknown2007-12-11 16:35:15
You can't really compare the exaggerations of US violence to the exaggerations of violence in Israel. America is a lot bigger.
Daganev2007-12-11 16:37:27
The town of Sderot, just northeastish of Gush Katif(the town Israel kicked Jews out of, so that Palestinains would stop bombing them), next to Gaza is getting shelled daily. However, there is nothing worth visiting there unless your family lives there. Doesn't even have a tourist center.

Though Israel just invaded Gaza again today, so it should be quite in Sderot also.

The rest of the country is amazing, and being there December 23rd is even MORE amazing! (NO sign of Christmas anywhere, except Bethlehem)
