I don't exactly understand how I'm suppose to get out of this. I ask for a duel and Synl already has choke up to tackle me into.

This is the 2nd time I've fought in Choke and both times I haven't been able to do anything while in them. It's like my commands aren't going through. Is this the I-WIN button for Night users? Anyways, comments, suggestions, bleh bleh. Yea, I didn't faecall after tackle, but I was just trying to concentrate on getting out of that mess.

Also, does it help to turn off your system and move to manual curing during this time or something?

It seems you do not know how choke works. Any action you want to do will be delayed by an amount of time. But your actions don't stack. Just from the first part, I see you trying to move east, but failing. This is because only your last action goes through. By spamming e, you are reseting the timer in which your action will go through.

Ahhhh, so by spamming it is just resetting the timer? Heh. Nice to know that now.

Yep. Helps a lot knowing that content.gif.

Oh yeah. Synl is a warrior (though an axelord), so if you learn to fight in choke, you should have the advantage (passive afflicts vs. active afflicts). This is even more true in the case of blademasters and bonecrushers, whose entire offense is cut by half.

EDIT: Thought it'd be good to explain that choke affects anyone in the room, caster included.
Shamarah2007-12-10 22:34:40
Lol, why are you using choke as an axelord, Synl D:

Yeah, learning to fight in choke is tough, you basically want to turn off your triggers and do stuff manually, and make sure not to spam commands.

A moondancer should rape a warrior in choke though (assuming you manage to faecall).

Because I can.
Ashteru2007-12-10 23:00:08
Dude, use cleave in choke, Synl. The additional balanceloss doesn't hurt as much since everything is slower anyway.
Unknown2007-12-10 23:04:03
Yea, I was being noobish. Can't believe I hit rebounding twice. >.>

It's sorta lame though cause I was hoping for a super-cool Execute, but damage got in the way. However, seeing that damage has put me in the mood for bugging Exeryte to forge me a 360 damage waraxe. With Steal + war blessing...

Need elemental runes to have fun. (I think) Can't say much about now. Stupid DMP changes!
Unknown2007-12-10 23:08:21
Well, I'm assuming he has Drawdown + shield + robes. Not sure if he trans Resilience or not, but I'd like to think 800 damage with a 200 damage greataxe is pretty nice. I'll need to get a max-damage waraxe to really test, but even if I only do like 1500 damage to Cloth-wearers, it should still force them to not apply every round. Time to bug Exeryte!

I don't have a shield and I'm not transed resilience (or even any lessons into it).
Malarious2007-12-11 06:25:05
1) Get resilience
2) Tumble out if you cant call fae (fae make it loads easier)
3) Dont spam in choke...

Thats basically it..
Hyrtakos2007-12-16 22:19:30
Axelords should be pretty good in choke with knockdown and all. It's worse against Shadowdancers, but against Moondancers you stand about a 50% shot of coming out on top of them even with their fae (almost always it comes down to who gets the first hit or whether or not you walk into a hexed choke room)

Just keep insomnia up from the pixie until you stick hadrudin and then switch to morphite or maybe a anerod followed by a bunch of morphites (don't be afraid to use scourge or web enchantments like they would to keep them from attacking you). Once asleep, just keep headslamming or otherwise stunning them until their own pixie strips kafe since it does no damage to wake them up and stuns them while their asleep. They should be easy pickings from here. Actually, in a fight with a wiccan inside choke is the only time I have EVER used decapitate because they never use metawake against a warrior and you can completely lock them up.
Unknown2007-12-16 23:19:43
I hate the "get resilience" advice. Secondary skills like that should be helpful, not a requirement.

At any rate. Avoid choke like the plague. If there is a night user not moving, assume it's choke. Don't spam moving. Tumble out once and run like the devil so you don't get knocked back in. GET A SHIELD. I never fight in choke (given, as a druid they don't ever choke unless they feel suicidal) because walking into it automatically puts you at a disadvantage. Learn to manual is a big one.

Do the people you spar have brumetower? O.o 'cause choking in brumetower is pretty cool, imo.

Choke is two layers of uncurable sap that you don't have to fight in. Staffsling ftw.
Hyrtakos2007-12-17 10:59:55
Just as sitting inside choke while a druid hits you from afar is something that you can't possibly be stopped from tumbling out of.
