it isn't just you. They're targetting every decently leveled person who comes within their jumping range, ie not sitting at the Megalith. I was pissed off enough last night that I just had to quit from the game for the first time in my IRE mudding life.

Matters little when they simply send another of their prime jumping clique to take the last hit. Sure eventually your PK status looks almost like your enemies list, but it is no less frustrating, specially when you then have to pray because they've locked you in. Anyways, whatever. It's a griefer tactic, just log out, let them win the round.

I don't really know the specifics of who "they" are and how much jumping others on the prime is going on, but I will note that, if we sense a pattern of one org being able to enter a state of constant griefing/bullying players to the point where they log out, we will feel compelled to take some action.
I find it remarkable that certain players complain about how we over-regulate PK on prime and want us to ease up and make it easier to PK, and then go around and prove to us yet again of why we have those stopguards and systems (i.e., Avenger, karma, declare system, loyal territories, etc.). If the playerbase regulated themselves, we wouldn't have the need for any system. Surely, it should be clear that attacking someone over and over and over, making logging into Lusternia a miserable experience, will make that person eventually quit? Is this how you "win"? By driving away the playerbase until there is no one left to attack? No, what will happen is simply you will rouse the admin and force us to address the issue.
I truly hope players will show some common sense and decency, and regulate themselves so no actions will have to be taken.

And this, my friends, is why I rarely leave Magnagora unless I'm going to hunt (Not that I have time to do that any more...but thank God for aethersight, btw) or going to Glomdoring. Even I get jumped when I raid once in a blue moon.

Eh, I really like the avenger system, and every time I even think about HELP PKRULES or whatever on Achaea, I like it even more.
The only drawback I've yet seen is when there's a raid on prime (because honestly, what is there for a commune to raid off-prime?) and there are lots of defenders (more often than not, the majority are enterprising newbies) that can quickly get your suspect list to the maximum.
Not that it's a big problem... Certainly not as big as the ones that would ensue from an issue system, but it seems like you're missing the tenuous balance between group and 1v1 combat. You're pushing all conflict to nexus battles, which really allows for zero 1v1 combat, which is something I'd certainly appreciate more... But I realize my opinion isn't the only one in existence and believe that the system is, for the moment, the best that you're going to make it.

Those people have selfish reasons to restrain themselves--because they (presumably) wouldn't want the admin to have to step in and rain on their parade.

That's not always true with the whole no status in territory you're enemied to. I used to try going to Tosha to influence and was constantly jumped by a certain someone, who would then bring in like 2-3 people at times if he couldn't kill me himself. I just gave up on ever going there for a while and haven't been back since.
But I think it's definitely a case of being frustrated about something that's out of the norm. It's just like if someone started robbing everyone blind all the time, there would probably be a major uproar even though in Achaea theft is rampant.
I also don't think that anyone is at the point where their level of "griefing" is overboard. But like I said I haven't spent much time outside of the city. Maybe I'll just experiment and go sit around on highways.

As I mentioned, Shamarah, it matters little. If anything, having vitae only made me lose more experience because I know I will die another time. So I have stopped using vitae, unless I am doing something specific. As for lich, sure, one death without experience, but with the use of certain abilities restricting soul movement, all I can do is sit back in my chair and wait for my second 'real' death to come, so I can pray. These jumpers don't normally work alone, even if they can easily overcome their target. So all they do is get you into aeon and let the other person finish the job. Many of us hunt on prime, because we don't want to get jumped on astral or in Shallach. It's frustrating because those who get jumped are already not the greatest fighters in the game, but we still do our part. At least, until we get fed up.

That is extremely theoretical. We have never come close to having to ask orgs to "back off" because they are enforcing fair gameplay. I doubt that will ever happen, because players in an org can get together among themselves and come to some sort of consensus/compromise.
