So I am thinking of going back to Zmud since I know more about it and have a better understanding. However I hear a lot about Cmud and was wondering if someone can give me the run down on the pros and cons of Cmud, Zmud, and Mushclient.
MushClient I know runs smoother and doesn't lag on itself nearly as much as Zmud. However it is a lot more difficult to learn when you have no programming experience at all.
Zmud however is easier to learn, friendlier, and has a lot more tutorials for it that I can understand, but lags like crazy on itself when you get into the seriously complex scripts like anti-illusions, writhing, and complex curing.
No clue about Cmud though...
Anything you can tell me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone.

Except for the occasional fatal error, CMud has all the benfits of Mush and Zmud and none of the downsides.
Plus it comes with Catarin's free system

And what is the fatal error you speak of?

Sometimes Cmud just crashes and breaks. But it has never broken while playing Lusternia, only while editing settings or making new triggers and the like. And sometimes the triggers you do have just don't work, but reinstalling Cmud always fixes that
But I'm sure thats just my personal experience, other people seem to do just fine with it.

Hmm...interesting. Zmud use to do that to me all the time. Especially when I was making triggers or editing some...weird. Thanks for the heads up though.

Okay so here is another thing I'm curious about. I thought of it last night but was to tired to try and post. So here goes.
Has anyone ever made a system that changes priorities of the afflictions as the fight is going on? I mean for example, if you are fighting someone that doesn't tend to use locks that much with poisons but rather relies on breaks, the system will go and put the break afflictions at the top of the list instead of lock afflictions? And when you change fighters it changes the priorities to match the new fighter? Would make a system less predictable and a bit more interesting in my opinion.
Any thoughts?

Changing priorities is a pretty simple matter but the question is why woul you really want to do it? If they're not using certain afflictions then the ones that they DO use are going to be top priority anyway as those others aren't there....

Was hoping it would speed up the curing. If the system isn't checking the afflictions in a database that are above the ones being used the most, it would be quicker instead of running down the line and making sure ones above the afflictions are all 0 instead of 1. Was just a thought though. Kind of found a downside on my own too. It makes for setting a lock easier because all they have to do is keep hitting with the top priorities and your lock afflictions are lower down so they don't get cured right away. Oh well.

Checks for is1 or is0 are fast.. I dont think it will slow you down to check %ismember or if something is 1 nearly as much as you would think.. I like variables with 1 and 0 but it takes less space to use stringlist. But you cant partial vars that way too well (like 0 is off 1 is on and .5 is checking if you go the thorgal method)
