Wow an idiots topic and one moved to common grounds already?
So lets brainstorm the fixes. This topic is specifically to try to fix the issue, not complain about it further as theres other topics for that.
Problem 1: Capricorn and Cancer is drained at all times because of wildnodes, scorpio I have read is drained, and taurus may follow.
Solution: Make a window nodes cant be linked. From the warning that Wildnodes is about to start till the end of wildnodes, people will be unable to link, darklink, starlink, cone, etc. (this would also allow capricorn and cancer to become bashing spots)
Problem 2: Because of bashing nodes being drained to death they will take forever to regen. And other nodes are instead being majorly linked which will result in all nodes dying.
Solution A: Increase the regen speed of nodes.
Solution B: Implement a quest (possibly in aetherspace) to recharge a node or help rechagre it faster, maybe empowering a node or something (thus allowing players to control recharge on a node and encouraging aetherspace to further extents).
Solution C: Do both.
Problem 3: This issue is something players need to handle without mechanics. People need to know when it is unsafe to link a node (at motes or below). Being aware is a good help to not letting things drain. Additionally some people drain on purpose, which would be ok if the nodes had a regen so they werent then dead for quite some time (from what I hear its demigods who often drain out an area).
Solution: Address in game.
Problem 4: Main reason astral is used as much as it is (specially with neurosis) is because its the best high level bashing ground. (Kephera are crappy exp, adoraths are pains, and fishers arent commn as linking mobs).
Solution: As has been stated elsewhere, open areas in sewers, or ways to increase repop on denizens. I want more cave fishers so maybe I go to a cave fisher breeding ground and help them grow faster!

Esepcially the idea of high level mobs in sewers.
(although then at that point the RP of communes and gaining higher levels becomes interesting)

Yep! All Great ideas! The aetherspace quest to recharge nodes idea kind of reminds me of the herbalists ability to replant.

I'd like to see this one regardless.
I don't know how else to say, "Hey! You've made a system and no one's really taking advantage of it! It just needs a few tweaks (ie, increased exp gain from winning, or higher level matters more, skills that cut influence loss exp like lich with death, etc.) and it'll be the best it can be!"

I think the nodes are fine. They've always cycled between being utterly drained to full again. Just now, there are more people who can bash there so there's more complaints being filed. If you want titan/demi, then you have a certain mindset, and if you have that mindset, then you will get it regardless. Though I must admit I'm intrigued by the idea of the higher lvl sewer monsters, or just higher lvl monsters in general. I hate to say it, but astral is too easy. I almost never even sip up there, there should be a really high lvl bashing place, now that would be fly.

At some point you realize that Nil is the best place to get xp. The first couple mobs are easy, but then you get packs of these mobs that afflict like it's nobody's business.

If you want any change on this topic, move it to ideas. The admin don't base any type of changes from thing posted in idiots or common grounds from what I have learned. I think I even remember Estarra stating... the look at the Ideas subforum for actual possible changes to the ideas.
