He is deemed a Minstrel by the Bardic Council of Vesteran Honours.
He is accounted Narrator among literary writers.
He is accounted Intellectual among scholars.
Ok, just a quick question here: what do "Narrator among literary writers" and "Intellectual among scholars" mean? How do you get them? I figured out that the thing with the Bardic Council is for the Bardic competition, but the others? Do you have to write a book and submit it to the Library or something?
Disclaimer: these are not my honours, although I, too, am a Narrator among literary writers.

They are library things, yeah. I'm not 100% sure of how you get them though, it's not as simple as publishing a book or I'd have the scholarly one.

Well, that makes sense. Local Library or the Great one? I'm assuming the latter here...
Maybe you get the 'writers' one when you submit a book to the prestiege contest, and scholarly one if you win it?

Narrator is winning prestige with a literary book. Scholar is winning prestige with scholarly book. The titles change the more prestige contests your books win.

Weird, I don't think I've ever won prestige with a literary book, but my honours claim: "She is accounted Narrator among literary writers."
(Anyone bored wanna find out which that was? Or tell me a quick way to find out which it was? )

But I've never won the prestiege contest. I've just submitted a book to it...
@Nejii: Water to Mud. You didn't win though.

Maybe that's it then. You get points for having a book submitted and points if it actually wins. But it's tied to prestige contests and the two different titles are for the two different categories
Nihmriel2008-01-11 13:58:04
You get those honours - narrator and intellectual - for having books submitted for prestige. If your books win, you'll climb higher up the ranks. I think those two are rank 1 in literary and scholarly contests respectively.

I should hope not, that book was terrible in retrospect. Ugh.
Thanks for clearing it up, Nihmriel and Catarin!
