Well... I'm sure you guys have rejoiced at the fact that you haven't seen me around much. Sad, but true. Lusternia's once-bright shine and shimmer has turned into a dull pallor, and it no longer holds the same joy for me that it once did. I'll log in to do my duties, but it's been far too long since the game has been a game, and not a job or a chore. I don't think I'm the only one, too, I've not seen quite a few prominent faces for a long time. But the admin will say such is the life of a game, there are bound to be ups and downs, and, frankly, I'm content to let them believe that this is a mere trough in the cycle of Lusternia.

Well, sorry, that rant was not my point.

My point is: I'm looking for real life hobbies in the San Francisco Bay Area. Now that I'm finally ready to start exploring the great outdoors... I realize I have no idea what to do. I'm really enjoying playing Halo 3 with friends, but I'm not very good, and it's a big chore to set up due to the way the internet is setup in my house...

I'd really like to see what a group of DND/tabletop RP players is like, but I don't know how, and I'm pretty damn shy.

I'm also not sure just what all else I can do, or what I like to do, and I don't know how to find out.

Anyone have any advice? losewings.gif

Edit: Oh, and if you hang out with me in person, I promise I'm not as much of an asshole as I am in game!

Here is a hobby. Find out that red haired girls phone number (the on in Mythbusters), get it for me, then I will come visit you when I go visit her... Something about her is just too hot to pass up.

That is VERY unhelpful, straightman.

Are you in school or anything?

And yeah, I've entered the same kind of trough. I havn't played Lusty much at all over the last month or so. I think I've grown out of it. That's not to say that playing Lusternia or any other MUD is immature, it's just something I personally have grown out of, where it has lost something that made it fun. It's pretty sad really, I had a lot of things I had been planning on doing. Oh well, maybe I just need a break and that spark will come back.

If you lived on the other side of the country, here in Lexington Kentucky, we'd totally get together for some DnD!

If you're not in school, and you don't really like the people you work with if you have a job, meeting people with the same interests is pretty darn hard.

You could make a facebook account and look for people in your area. 8D
