Magnagora gets Nightmares. New Celest get pegasuses/pegasi. Glomdoring needs giant black widows.


According to my knowledge of the riding skillset, a spider having eight legs shouldn't make any of the game mechanics look weird- it's all still aesthetically possible. They'd be relatively expensive mounts at the legendary range, of course, to accomodate their uniqueness. Until now, I haven't really had any real desire to purchase a mount or spend the money on riding, but something Glomdoring-centric might change my mind!

Other ideas we had (because it was a collaborative effort, not just my idea) were giant bats for their flight, a "baby wyrdling" and a totally different wyrd-born creature altogether.

Baby wyrdlings would just be weird.

That said, the cost would be 120,000 (as is normal with legendary mounts), and Lhiannan or Brennan could sell them. We'd be willing to write up the description stuff, too, so the admins would just have to copy a bit of coding over!

Then Seren needs something. Else you can be like all other forestals and go buy an eagle from Antris in Faethorn.

Seren needs a treeperson mount ala Lord of the Rings. I'd go for a Warmoose too.

Can't you still buy Unicorns on Faethorn for Serenwilde? That at least seems nice. Though I'm certainly not against new mounts by any means!

Oops! I just read into that post above! Is it eagles you can get on Faethorn? I thought you can get Unicorns...if you can't that sucks.

No. There are some rather 'lacking' eagles for sale in Faethorn. The unicorn isn't purchasable. It can be captured, though.

Captured?! Ohhh that actually sounds kind of fun...sounds can be deceiving though. Is it fun? The Unicorn still doesn't give much of an option for Glomdoring though, I like the Black Widow idea, and the bat too.

A black widow still seems like the coolest idea to me. A bat's too lame because they aren't spidery enough (go figure). We even already have widowriders so it's not like Glomdoring needs to revolutionize itself. We just have to ask our guards how to hold on.

Can both the pegasus and the nightmare fly? In that case I'd say a bat would be nice to make them all share that ability. I also like bats.

Love the idea of black widow mounts. Big black panthers might make a good Shikarian mount as well, though that might just be me always wanting to steal Shayle's ocelot. Too bad we can't have a garthim to ride on. I'd absolutley get one of those. Hell, I'd buy one for every room in my manse :/
