I didn't manage to get a log, but do harbingers have an ability to strip waterwalk (or other things)?

I was trying to run around the Sea of Despair while Kaervas was chasing me, but I kept losing my waterwalking defence. I usually can't pick up the combat spam easily, so I don't know at which point the waterwalk was stripped.

I had that happen when he tried jumping me on Astral but I didn't get a log of it either. Once I'd successfully escaped, I noticed I was without a few other defenses as well aside from waterwalk.

Could he have been invoking Spring?

Gah...go go posting when I'm half asleep. I meant -Waterwalking- is stripped by DeadlyPattern, not Metawake (need to get this fixed too -grumble-). Post fixed and editted now.

Alianna tried to get Metawake added to DeadlyPattern several times and the envoys shot it down every time. Generally speaking, any change to Metawake was vetoed, and she tried one every envoy report for a while.

deadypatterns is their def stripping move. Also stuns if the target is not blind (small one). When used, it primarily focuses on 5 defences, half of which I forget. The ones I remember are as follows: Insomnia, kafe, waterwalk.
It's probably the best def stripping skill in the game since it's reliable for things like insomnia and kafe and has a stun. Spring has it beat in that it can almost literally strip every defence, but that's unreliable cause people can have 50 defs
