I want to share a weird dream I had last night. Unlike most of my dreams that have some element of Lusternia in it, this wasn't scrolling text but live action. I'm not making any of this up. (Well, my subconscious mind obviously did, but you know what I mean.)
I heard a rumour that there was a new pair of villages in the game somewhere so we all went wandering around looking for something new. I found an empty gymnasium, like in any high school, somewhere near Stewartsville and the Grey Moors, and on the wall was a big white logo of some kind of basketball team, the logo being something abstract (a white circle with swirling lines around it). I touched the logo and teleported to another gymnasium that looked almost the same, except it had a bunch of aslaran basketball players in it, at a practice. And they were doing terrible.
Most of them were moping about how they didn't have a chance in the Big Game, and each one seemed convinced it was his fault, that he personally wasn't good enough to be on the team. Some of them were obsessing about other things -- girlfriend problems, having to spend too much time working after school in his parents' hardware store, stuff like that. The coach, the cheerleaders, and when I left the gymnasium, pretty well everyone in the village had some kind of problem like this. (The village looked like any stereotypical American small town, too. I think it was set in the 1950s.)
The rest of Serenwilde teleported to me and we fanned out through the village, meeting each person and using a combination of quest-like problem solving and Influence skills (mostly Empower, but not always) to get as many as we could of the players to feel able to compete and give their best. We had to figure out each person's problem, come up with a solution, and carry it out. Sometimes we had to reconcile quarreling lovers, sometimes we had to help someone deal with the problem of living in the shadow of an accomplished older sibling, etc. All the while, the time was ticking down to the Big Game. And we learned that the rival village (later found out they were, naturally enough, krokani) were being influenced similarly by someone else (not sure who).
When the time ran out, we were all transported to an even bigger gymnasium, along with all the villagers. We filed into the bleachers alongside the villagers to cheer our team on while they played. The krokani had the height advantage, but the aslaran were quicker and could jump better, so they were pretty evenly matched. In the end, the aslaran won in a tight finish, mostly because we'd influenced more of the team, cheerleaders, and rest of the town; and that meant that we had won the village influence, and that's where I woke up.
(And got up, and logged into Lusternia to find Serenwilde had taken back Shanthmark while I slept.)

Wow.. That's awesome. Particularly the latter 'coincidence' that there had been a revolt and subsequent influence of Shanthmark.

Akui says something unintelligible in a series of short roars and growls.
Sorry, common tongue please?

Wow. I also had a Lusternian dream last night. Mine wasn't nearly as interesting, though, I was just lolpked by three warriors lunging at my head and using mantakaya.

Thanks for sharing!
I once dreamt of playing a character in real life action, however, I still had to type in commands into a terminal to cast a spell. I vaguely recall panicking trying to find a computer to type in CAST FIREBALL (or whatever) to battle the monster chasing me!
